Cecilia is a great host, communicated proactively, welcomed us and made us feel very at home. The standalone cottage on quinta Casa do Poco is very comfortable and surrounded by fields of grape vines. We enjoyed a vineyard tour with Cecilia and saw some of their grape pressing process in action. Then tasted some of their great wines accompanied by snacks made with some of Cecilia's tomatoes, figs, olive oil and jam.

Travelers on a budget looking to experience a place like a local will enjoy homestays. These simple accommodations are in a private home, where the host also lives. All facilities are shared and in most cases breakfast is included.
Very relaxed and comfortable place with lovely hosts. The pool area is great and the rooms are spacious, with balconies overlooking the pool. Breakfast is plentiful and we also had a delicious meal prepared by the hosts, Annabelle and Jose, accompanied by their own wine. It is set amongst the vineyards and is a perfect place to relax and enjoy the Douro Valley from. Highly recommended.

Just returned from a delightful stay in Arramar! This small village stole our hearts with its charming bakeries and warm locals. Our host went above and beyond to ensure our comfort, providing attentive service throughout our stay. While the hotel's decor may be a tad dated, its prime location and affordability more than make up for it. Our room was surprisingly spacious, impeccably clean, and boasted cozy beds with soft linens. Overall, a fantastic deal for a cozy getaway!
Great hosts - friendly, knowledgeable of the area and suggested places to see etc. air-conditioned room, comfortable bed . Off street parking for the motorbike. Had wonderful breakfast and dinner both nights - excellent chef! Signage to the property from the N312 was easy to follow. Highly recommend.
