Wow! I had an incredible stay at Lokal Hut. I was greeted with a smile immediately and loved getting to know the history of Casa Linda. Breakfast in the morning was so tasty and it was easy organizing any tours right at the front desk. Truly such a wonderful stay in a great location, many restaurants were nearby as well.

I like how the place is clean and its location is easy to find. How the guard at night helped us get a ride and make sure we get back safely. But what we loved most about, was how the couple owners accommodated us. They always make sure that we have all we need and give us a great conversation. They went beyond, as it comes with free breakfast but they adjust the serving time to 3am, for us to eat before we proceed to El Nido. On our last day they offered us to tour around the area. (when they found out we really didn’t plan this trip well). They even brought us to the famous hopia shop. How I wished I have bought a lot of it.
Also, we accidentally left something behind. And they were kind enough to send it back to us.

Bambua is a fantastic place, if you know what you're signing up for. It's nestled into the jungle behind Sabang Town and Sabang Beach. It's about a ten minute walk to the beach, but at Bambua it feels like you're hundreds of kilometers from anything. We stayed in the apartment, which is a very large, two-level unit, with interesting and unique decoration. First place I've ever stayed with an aquarium. Great view across the jungle to the hills beyond. The people at Bambua are amazing - incredibly helpful and friendly. If you stay for a few days you will be family. There are many cute, friendly dogs and a couple of cats. While the menu is limited, the food is delicious and healthy, including the breakfasts. Good coffee. Great value for money.
We loved the apartment, but it needs to be understood that the accommodation is rustic. There is no AC, so things are very much open to the outside. That means there will definitely be moths and other insects; there are mosquito nets. There are geckos and some of them are seriously big and kind of loud. I love geckos; they are eating all kinds of things that you don't much want to have around and, to me, they're cute, but not everyone is used to them. The sounds of the jungle are all around you and can be loud.

I’ve spent the last 6 months in SE Asia and this was the BEST home stay I’ve stayed in. The property has so much personality and the owner Anna is so sweet and helpful. They’re able to help you with anything you need - They offer a laundry pick up service and helped me organize a cheap transfer to El Nido. The breakfast was literally the BEST breakfast of my entire life, I miss it everyday, it was unbelievably delicious. I would come here over and over again and recommend it to others!
