The room was big, clean, and had a seaside view, which is something I really fancy. All I can say is that I will definitely be coming back soon for my next holiday. The owner was very accommodating. To Suzette and Sir Darel, thank you and see you soon.
Travelers on a budget looking to experience a place like a local will enjoy homestays. These simple accommodations are in a private home, where the host also lives. All facilities are shared and in most cases breakfast is included.
Fantastic location, waking up to blue water outside my window. Aircon, easy going vibe, a beautiful balcony upstairs to enjoy the sunset or coffee. Babe and Adelyn were great hosts. Value for money cannot be beaten on Malapascua. Also, I felt that my belongings and self were safe. Comfy mattress too :) originally booked 3 nights, stayed 7.
Marlon was a great host, super friendly and ready to help. The room overlooking the sea was amazing, with the terrace. Plus you get normal beds instead of bunk beds, lots of storage space and bathroom inside of the room. The place was always kept clean and it is right next to the port, restaurants, bars and the beach

Richard and his lovely wife are such lovely hosts. As soon as I arrived he said: "feel like at home" & I really did.
It's a very simple accommodation, has outside showers (I loved to look up at the palm trees whenever I showered), has a lot of chillout zones, and a kitchen you can use. It was clean and just felt super comfortable.
Also a great stay if you love the animals - local dogs and cats are there all the time.
Exceptionally clean, superb service, delicious breakfast. I also like the location, though far from the beach, but that's the beauty of the location, it is quiet, you get to see the locals do their livelihood, you get to relax more as it is from from the bustle. The gardens you pass through as you're about to reach your room was also surprising, I didn't expect it to be this nice, you get the beach and a garden plus an exceptional stay. I'll definitely come back with my partner :)))
I had the best time at Thresher Shack in! It’s simple but perfect! The beds are comfortable, there’s plenty of storage space. The balcony was awesome, so was the communal kitchen and I just met the nicest people. All staff was really friendly and helpful. Ayesha, who’s managing the diving base is always smily and goes above and beyond. Marlon who manages the homestay was always accomodating and everyone else incl the dogs was lovely! They’ve got free water, the diving is great and it really ticked all the boxes
