We loved the staff, they were friendly, kind, communicative, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond for us. They also spoke English very well, which is not common in Huaraz, so that made this stay a lot easier for us because we are not strong Spanish speakers. The rooms and the bathroom were clean. The location was quiet so we were able to sleep well. Hot water was available (the labels were incorrect but there was hot water nonetheless). We had good phone signal/reception and wifi was available. The hotel staff also booked our tours for us which helped make our trip smooth and easy. They also offered to make us breakfast for a small fee since we had to be up really early for our tours. This was such a pleasant stay, I highly recommend.

Hotel morales is a hidden gem in huaraz. It’s easy walking distance to downtown but also in a quieter neighborhood with a breathtaking view of the mountain range. The room was spotless and bright and the pictures don’t do it justice! It felt like the relaxing reprieve we were needing. Plus it’s got a great climbing wall!
We are so happy we stayed and will be recommending it to all our friends that are coming out here to climb.
Also Hisao the owner is one of the nicest most helpful people we met on our entire Peru trip. He constantly went out of his way to help us with some of our backpacking logistics.

The folks who run the Golden Killa are great. Their little hotel on the hill is beautiful, with amazing views of the surrounding mountains. It’s only a short walk to the Plaza de Armas. The room was comfortable and clean. It had everything we needed. Breakfast downstairs was great. Every morning we had coffee or tea, juice, fresh bread with jam, and our choice of eggs, cheese, chorizo, or avocado. They also have a lunch/dinner menu we could order from when we were exhausted from tours and weren’t up to going out. They also have full service laundry, which was a huge bonus for us after more than a week on the road.

Rooftop terrace! Great vibe overall, and little details like coffee and tea available, nice bathrooms with hot showers, curtains on beds and lots of outlets everywhere. The owner Richard is a great guy, super helpful and knowledgeable about the area.
