Zuzan was the best host I’ve had in all of Peru, answering all of my questions right away, meeting all of my needs, and going the extra mile to adjust to my weird schedule and make sure I was taken care of. In terms of the hostel itself, the beds are very comfortable, plenty of blankets for when it is cold season, very clean rooms, very clean living space as well. Bathrooms were very nice and I never had an issue with hot water. She also let me keep my bags there even when I didn’t have a night booked! Zuzan is the best and will definitely be back here if I (hopefully) make it back to Cusco one day!!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Yanapanakusun in Cusco, and I couldn't have been more satisfied with my experience. Although it's about a 20-minute journey from the historical center, the location offers a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of the city.
The staff at Yanapanakusun were exceptional. They were incredibly kind and always a joy to talk to. I cherished the moments I bumped into them outside of breakfast, as they shared more about Yanapanakusun and their own stories. Their warmth and friendliness truly enhanced my stay.
The space itself is beautiful, with stunning views of the entire city. The kitchen, a unique blend of Peruvian and Italian architecture, was a peaceful haven where I enjoyed my meals. Despite the cold weather during my visit, the room was cozy, thanks to a movable radiator that I could place close to the bed.
Yanapanakusun offers great value for money, being more affordable than many hostels in the area. But what makes it truly special is its incredible mission. The organization supports local girls, providing them with psychological care, schooling, and technical training. This cause is close to my heart, and I was moved to learn that many of the staff members are survivors who have benefited from Yanapanakusun's programs.
Additionally, Yanapanakusun's impact extends beyond its immediate community. Since 2011, survivors and adolescents trained in school journalism have run a radio program called "Sonqoykipi T’ikarisunchis" (In Your Heart We Will Flourish). This program, broadcast in seven districts of Cusco and Puno, raises awareness about human trafficking and various forms of violence in the native language.
Overall, I would highly recommend Yanapanakusun to anyone visiting Cusco. It's a place where you can find peace, enjoy beautiful views, and support a noble cause.

Rooms were clean, the owner Carlos was very accomodating to our request such as checking out very late + storing our luggages while we do our salkantay trek with no extra charge, he also helped us booked taxis after check out even before I could ask him. Views from the balcony and top floor were amazing! You could see the whole city from the night, during sunset and sunrise. Must stay! Carlos is a very good Host.
Great hostel in a perfect location just a short walk from the main square. Continental breakfast was delicious and they even prepared us a goodie bag on one morning where we had a tour booked for 4:30am. Everything was very clean and the shower was nice and hot. Good wifi throughout the hostel. Multiple common areas where we could wait as we waited for our bus. Receptionist was very helpful as she answered all our queries.

1st room (double room) the water in shower was barely warm and no pressure. Upon return we were given a triple room and the shower was amazing!

The location is excellent in san Blass where you can visit markets and artesian sites, it’s quiet and peaceful, there is a market around where you can get amazing food for a great price. You get a little dinning room and a kitchen for you to cook and make coffee or tea, Katya is a great host so helpful friendly.
