Proximity to corniche (walking), the fort (for sunset), the souq, and some decent restaurants. Also, for only $15 you could get a decent traditional breakfast (but it does not include coffee!)
Featuring garden views, Arabian Nights Nook in Muscat offers accommodations, a garden, and a terrace.

The hostel seems like a hotel.
The room was really big with everything I needed. It's a very quiet neighborhood.
The hostel is close to the beach and to the Qurum park, so for me that I am an amputee was easy to reach different destinations without having a car. It's very convenient.

Amazing location. Beautiful lounge on roof. Caretakers were very efficient.
Travelers on a budget looking to experience a place like a local will enjoy homestays. These simple accommodations are in a private home, where the host also lives. All facilities are shared and in most cases breakfast is included.
Our stay started with a warm and friendly welcome. The house is very nice. The room is modern, very clean, and decorated in country-specific style. Damaris and her husband are great hosts. They gave us very good recommendations for our tours in and outside of Muscat. One of the cities most popular beaches and a couple of very good restaurants / cafès is just some walking minutes away. We felt at home and very much enjoyed our stay at Arabian Nights!
Really lovely staff, very friendly, accommodating and provided me with guidance through my stay. Really nice Thai food. Nice to see locals visiting the venue as well. The rooftop was nice too. But the main thing was the staff.
My second time staying here. Again, great hospitality and vibe at this place. Well located near the airport and with lots of other amenities nearby. Great hostel to start and your journey when exploring Oman.
A very modern Arabic hotel, which meant no alcohol here, but no problem for us. Had a junior suite which was nice and spacious. Hotel was easy to find with signage pointing the way once on road towards Al Mouj. Nicely located overlooking marina, in an area where many locals also live. We used the hotel restaurant for all our evening meals, with plenty of choice and well cooked, priced and presented and so looked no further. Breakfast also provided plenty of choice. Location enabled nice evening strolls (with the locals).
Self-catering unit but the most amazing views. Clean and comfortable. Such great hosts who help with anything. Would love to come visit again. Pool and play area for kids is great and very safe complex.
Fantastic location. Pools seems to be quite new, two infinity pools with great view over the sea and Muscat beach and a most wonderful practically private beach with palm trees. Outstanding Restaurants and Bar which are obviously also frequented by plenty of locals. The room was spacious with great view and up to date bath room, the room it self could probably need some renovation in near future (everything working and clean, though). Hotel staff super helpful and always in great mood.
