The location was great, just a few minutes walk to the beach and then you could walk down the beach for a bit to the shops and cafes. Loved the heated bathroom floor and the water pressure in the shower was amazing

We had a lovely stay at Kauri Point Village. Everything was clean, quiet and comfortable. Hosts were very respectful of our privacy and accommodating. We especially loved sitting on the deck and looking at the beautiful garden, walking around the reserve and the very friendly and cute dog!

Travelers on a budget looking to experience a place like a local will enjoy homestays. These simple accommodations are in a private home, where the host also lives. All facilities are shared and in most cases breakfast is included.
Rex and Vicky were great hosts - available but not obtrusive. The accommodation was very clean and had all we needed including a great shower room. One of the reasons we chose it was that it was within walking distance to restaurants, cafes takeaways and walks.
We thought it represented great value for money.
A lovely quiet get away. Lovely hosts, very helpful and took the time to make our stay very special. We would stay again, everything was catered for, breakfast was great. Will stay again. Close to beach and shops.

Continental breakfast provided was very good, with a good range of fruits, spreads, yoghurt, cereal, toast, milk and coffee.
Huge bathroom with good shower and spa path as a plus.
Air conditioning and Sky TV are an added bonus, not as frequent in other accommodations.
Location was good, a short walk to the town centre (5 minutes) and beach (10 minutes)

Lovely hosts met us with keys, a quick tour, and some excellent local knowledge re walks in the area and where to find a 'real' coffee; partner was super excited about the beautiful muesli breakfast set up for us :0)
