Amazing views! I did a last minute booking on December 23rd, but despite it the hosts were super friendly and accommodating!
We had a nice chat about travel possibilities in the area, and about travelling in New Zealand in general.
The place was clean and had everything I needed - well equipped kitchen and bathroom, fast wifi and convenient parking.
This place is a lifesaver in an area that desperately needs more camping and accommodation options, and comes with welcoming hosts. I felt like home, which is exactly what I needed as a solo traveller on the Christmas day :-)

Loved the location, unfortunately it was mostly bad weather during our stay but the room itself was very clean and our lovely hosts had a very informative folder containing recommendations for activities and food (we tried Cafe Oranje which was recommended and really enjoyed the service and food).

The location was gorgeous and the birdsong was lovely. It was a little far out but that has its perks too. Scenery was stella. The space was huge. Bigger than expected from the photos. The bathroom was great. Hosts were lovely. Plenty of parking and outdoor space. Full dining table and excellent couches. Very tranquil.

It is a homestay, that means you have a bedroom in someone's house and share a bathroom/toilet. No breakfast provided. There is a fully equipped kitchen to make your own meal. The house is newish in a newish neighbourhood.

Lovely hosts who were very accommodating given it was short notice and relatively late in the evening. Clean, warm, private room with easy access to bathroom and toilet. Big tick for affordability.

Well stocked fridge with more than enough choice for breakfast at your leisure, especially appreciated the plunger coffee! Private outlook onto gardens. Lovely host, thank you Teresa, I'll be back!
