Travellers on a budget looking to experience a place like a local will enjoy homestays. This simple accommodation is in a private home, where the host also lives. All facilities are shared and in most cases breakfast is included.
A lovely host who was very welcoming. Enjoyed my lovely breakfast and appreciated it being ready for my early start in the morning. My bed was comfortable with plenty of blankets and even a bathrobe.
Lovely motel, all the facilities you need travelling such as a laundry room. The rooms even had an air frier if you wanted to cook. One street back from main high street where there are shops and lovely restaurants. Lovely host at reception and loads of parking exactly what you expect from a motel.
Lovely house and garden (complete with glow worms!) in a very nice part of the town - quiet and secluded but close to the town centre.
Helen is a great host and made us feel very welcome. Highly recommended.
We had a lovely overnight stay at Rangaroa Heights. It was well located, clean, comfortable and we were welcomed warmly by Helen, who was a great hostess. We also appreciated the nourishing breakfast before we set off next morning.

Hint. The wardrobe's in the bed room's are not wardrobes, they are en-suite, lol only discovered this on a return visit.
