Beautiful, peaceful, idyllic location right by the water at Queen Charlotte Sound.
We enjoyed walking the last leg of the famous Queen Charlotte track, which was a wonderful, relatively easy track offering superb views. Jumped off the jetty for a swim in the sound and within 2 mins having a hot shower at the apartment.
Tanya and Shayne could not have made us more welcome. They clearly enjoy sharing their piece of paradise, and their enthusiasm is addictive.
Very comfortable bed, great shower, well equipped kitchen, peaceful sleep.
Don't hesitate to book and stay as long as you possibly can. You won't regret it! We've stayed in some gorgeous places in the South Island and this one was our favourite.

A large brick house with plenty of indoor space which was light and airy.
The art work gave it an original feel that matched the furnishings.
The kitchen had everything we needed and even milk in the fridge and ice in the freezer.
The settees were amazingly comfortable as were the beds.
It was handy have 2 seperate toilets.
The decking had a sunny aspect but looked onto the police station and railway.

Loved the entire stay. The building is historic which gives out so much character. They are continuing to improve areas. Rooms are basic but extremely comfortable and clean with a homely feeling. Hosts and locals make the stay even more enjoyable. Have already booked another stay.
