Close to the bus station. We felt so welcomed by the sweet couple that owns it. We made our booking just a few minutes before our arrival and max was working on our room. He quickly and kindly wrapped things up and let us know this was our home! He gave us food recommendations and told us about the area. He got to practice his English and us our Spanish. He was kind enough to drive us to the bus station the next morning. This was one of my warmest and welcomed stays.

I needed a place to stay for one night close by to El Zopilote to attend the Full Moon party and this hostal was within walking distance from El Zopilote. The room was very basic but it was just what I needed for a short stay. The owner, Maria, was very friendly and cool.

The hosts are super nice and were very amenable to any question/requests we had. We were able to stay an extra night last minute.
There was always filtered water to drink which was nice.
We rented a scooter for $18/day and it was pretty much brand new and worked great.

A quaint, family-run place. It was super nice to be able to rent scooters right at our hostel and for a good price! The private bathroom was small but nice to have.
Travelers on a budget looking to experience a place like a local will enjoy homestays. These simple accommodations are in a private home, where the host also lives. All facilities are shared and in most cases breakfast is included.
Great hostel with friendly staff, super helpful information about the area. We stayed once last week and again this week in and out of Ometepe. Really cute dog!
Super helpful and friendly host family. Hans and his mum helped me out several times and it was a pleasure to meet the family. The place had everything, was well equipped and super clean including new appliances, a big TV and even a washing machine. Rivas was an interesting small town with a nice square, church, park and a lot of small shops. I walked there every day and it took about 20 minutes.
A little hostel in Rivas, the location is perfect , the room is clean and comfortable, the host and his wife is super friendly, good hostel for just stay I'm one night.
Great hostel close to the beach with amazing surf, a nice swimming pool and areas to relax. Everything you would want from a hostel near the beach. The owner is very nice and brings you to different restaurants around the hostel every night. Overall amazing.

From outside, I was initially a bit scared, but as soon as I entered it all vanished. The apartment is simple but luminous and clean.
Martha and Max are really firendly hosts, felt so welcomed! Enjoyed my stay there, as I got the feeling ofa homestay :) They are currently renovating their guesthouse - it's going to be super cozy! Parking lot is provided.
