The host helped us a lot. When we came we did not have any food with us, he lent us his scooter for free to go get some food in town. We could also store our baggage when exploring the island for a few days. Great location with a nice vibe. Would come again.

This place is great! The value is amazing - one of the lowest prices we’ve found for a private room with private bathroom in almost 6 months of travelling in Latin America. Our room was clean and spacious, wifi worked well, there is a nice garden, and the location is good. There is a small kitchen which was a nice surprise since it wasn’t listed as an amenity on Booking. Danilo is a great host and speaks English very well. Also used him as a guide up Conception volcano and he was great. It also sounds like he has plans to invest more into the hostel so it will be even better!

I suggest you don't leave the food outside unattended in front of the guests where ants and spiders eat it overnight then you serve it the next day to them for breakfast. also don't write free breakfast on booking.com if you're not going to offer it. And lastly train your staff because it's not their fault to take anger from customers if you are the one who's incompetent by not telling them which room your guests should stay in and ask to charge them for free breakfast. anyone who's reading this really go somewhere else. this place is not worth the stress you'll feel for it

The location is beautiful!! Beach huts are clean, comfortable and cozy. The lake is on your doorstep with views of the volcano to your right and a great sunset bar to your left. An island paradise with lovely dogs, chickens, a cat, ducks along with a friendly and helpful owner. Scooter access is 100% okay! There is a restaurant next door but if you want to go to others it’s a close 10min drive. Look no further and stay here!

Nice size studio room with a kitchen that worked really well. I LOVED the terrace and ate breakfast there every day with the lake and volcano view. The breakfast was always so filling and healthy.

The view and gardens were gorgeous! It is a super relaxing property! And Nolver was awesome at answering questions. I also appreciate the considerations into making the place as sustainable as possible by hiring locals, the solar power and the organic methods.
Travelers on a budget looking to experience a place like a local will enjoy homestays. These simple accommodations are in a private home, where the host also lives. All facilities are shared and in most cases breakfast is included.
The beautiful environment! The garden and swimming pool, the host family, they treated me very gently and cooked deliciously! The whole family really takes care of the place! the animals, they have cute dogs, cat, parrots, cows, chickens and rooster, and many birds around. My booking was 3 days and I’ve stayed full Week!
The host family was amazing, so accomodating. Private rooms were comfortable, great air conditioning, the common areas were beautiful. Lovely place to sit and relax. The price was unbeatable, and we even rented a scooter for the whole week through the host. Brilliant stay.
Lovely hostel, about 15 minute walk from the ferry terminal less than 1km. In a quiet area. Great communal area with huge hammocks. Cutest cat called Gina , use of a communal kitchen too. Owner Antonio is really helpful. Delicious breakfast, pancakes, banana and coffee.
José was a great host and did everything he could to make sure we had a good time on Ometepe. Many places organise tours and provide advice but José goes out of his way to make sure you have everything you need and are taken care of. I have stayed in hostels all over the world but not one where the host made such an impression on me. Highly recommended for this alone.
We had the nicest stay of our 1 month trip to Nicaragua in Casa de Gio. We loved our air conditioned room and the great breakfast, but most of all it was the exceptional family who ran this great hostel that made all the difference. Couldn't recommend it more for groups, couples, or solo travellers.
Really spacious rooms, great common spaces and nice view of the volcano! Jose and Margarida were also great hosts and always helpful if we needed them. Would stay there again

Daniela and Tony are lovely hosts, so sweet and kind. The property is beautiful, right near the shore, and was a nice place to spend a relaxed day. Breakfast was the best I’ve had in a while. The fact that they don’t host very many people at once makes it feel very homey and intimate.
