We arrived quite far out of the city by train, it was half past midnight and we couldn't get a taxi. I sent the hotel a message and they very kindly arranged a car for us even though it was so late. Staff were also very nice and friendly during our stay. Pretty cool that the hotel is part of the temple, about a 15 minute walk to the centre.

Excellent location. Very kind, polite, patient host, Steven. Even though my flight was delayed and I reached at a late hour, Steven waited for me and proceeded to give me a thorough orientation to the apartment and his beautiful historic city in a humorous fashion.
The apartment is less than 5 minutes' walk from Jonker Street and the riverside, and despite that, it is a very quiet location. The air-conditioning was strong. The wifi signal was very good with fast service. The shared kitchen was perfect for my needs. The water dispenser saved us the trouble of buying bottled water, besides reducing plastic waste. There was adequate storage space in the room, which made excellent use of the available space. The room had a projector TV.
Water temperature and force in the bathroom were good.
Travelers on a budget looking to experience a place like a local will enjoy homestays. These simple accommodations are in a private home, where the host also lives. All facilities are shared and in most cases breakfast is included.

Each room was comfortable with aircond, I would say that it felt like a hotel room. The house was clean and spacious for us three small families. It was definitely a good for money homestay and we would definitely repeat! Check-in was self service and easy peasy.
Spacious for family gathering, cleanliness, location nearby to the main road, very accommodative owner to supply an extra pillow/mattress, free snacks & drinks, providing barbeque grill. Moroever, this homestay is relatively a new house & not crowded surrounding.
