I had THE MOST TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE with the classic malay house!
First, the hotel contacted me to change my room and didn’t reply my question till I asked again after two days.
I selected to arrive after 12 when I made the reservation and the hotel didn’t have a problem at that point. When I messaged the hotel when I arrived around 12:30, they didn’t respond again and didn’t pick up my call neither. The door was locked when I arrived the hotel. I tried to knock the door and call the hotel and booking. No one showed up to help. I waited for around one hour. I was homeless at 2 am in a strange country. I was exhausted after the flight and I had to pay 500 to find another accommodation.
The next day, the only thing I could do is ask for a refund since I never checked in. Again no response at all for 4 days. The host is VERY RUDE! You could at least say sorry we can’t refund or try to communicate. I have never had this kind of experience in any country.
The place looks great from the pictures but I absolutely not recommend it after this terrible experience. Not happy with Booking neither!

The owner should meet the guests and handover the key. Very difficult to locate the apartment and the video provided to pickup the key wasn’t good
Travelers on a budget looking to experience a place like a local will enjoy homestays. These simple accommodations are in a private home, where the host also lives. All facilities are shared and in most cases breakfast is included.
Booked the homestay for 4D3N for my family & friends as it is near to Forest Valley Hall (about 20-30mins drive, depending on traffic). The house is well-maintained, clean & kept in perfect condition. The living rooms & kitchen are spacious and complete with necessities. Easy check-in & check-out process. The owner is friendly & accommodate to our request for extra keys. Highly recommended for family / large groups.

One of the best Islamic modern homestay with umpteen facilities and by far, a very understanding and friendly host, ie. extended our check-out time at no extra cost. Thumbs up for cleanliness, venue, safety and a sight to behold from the unit. Most importantly, halal cooking utensils provided and not forgetting the Coway water dispenser. Further, easy check-in and check-out. Had a blessed stay, All Praises to Almighty Allah ALONE.
This homestay is good and cosy..overall it was clean and comfortable for us to stay..the host was amazing as well...the place is convenient as it is near the mrt station..all in all we are very satisfied...will definitely repeat this place again!
