Just a lovely stay. We could not have been happier. Breakfast was great, room was so comfortable and the location could not be beat. Communication was easy as well. Thank you! We hope to return sooner rather than later.

La Joya Azul exceeded all our expectations, it’s a beautiful, spacious oasis in a quiet residential neighborhood. There are tons of inviting terraces, including a huge rooftop terrace with a great view. The bed is terrific - a king-sized high quality mattress. Actually the whole place is beautifully furnished, with great attention to detail. E.g. each nightstand has a power strip with multiple outlets and USB ports. The pool is nice-sized, heated and a great spot for an afternoon. It’s a 13-minute walk to the Plaza Principal, with a great market nearby. It was nice to have simple breakfast items, and good coffee in the kitchen, which is fully stocked with the basics. The honor bar is always there for an evening cocktail. We just met one host, Chris, and he was amazing, with lots of suggestions. He introduced us to a couple of his favorite local bands and made sure we had everything we needed. Their two dogs Luna and Ozzie are the sweetest, and the kitten is adorable.

The staff was very good. The bed was comfortable and the room was good. There was a sitting area in the rear third floor that was great. Full of plants and wall paintings. The breakfast or lunch area, third floor front side that was also very nice. The food was also very good.

Super convenient location and nice cosy place. Can't think of a better price to be so central. Also lovely hosts and lots of recommendations from them for places with vegan options. Highly recommended.
We loved having a private casita, a private terrace and access to the roof top deck. Breakfast was your choice preordered and delivered to your casita. Full kitchen if needed. Rocky and Gwen were great hosts! We will be back!
We loved the location (10 min walk from town, super peaceful, and up high with a view over the city), the room was lovely and big, great breakfast in the morning (pastries, coffee, yoghurt/fruit, then a delicious home cooked mexican meal), and Guillermo was a great host with good tips.
I found this place to be very relaxing away from busy centre but yet not far either.
Dany and Patrick were great host and very knowledgeable about pretty much anything I needed to know.
I'm glad that I met them both....
if you want to immerse yourself in the beauty and romance of colonial mexico and feel its spirit this is the right place for you. Extremely well-maintained estate created with great attention to every detail, a beautiful design that is timeless. Erik was a great host. Helpful and responsible.
Staff was always very friendly and accomodating, better maintenance would be suggested but in general very nice place. Breakfast buffet was very good and seems to be a common stop for locals sunday brunch.
It felt very safe for solo travel with the vegetarian restaurant downstairs that attracts health-conscious quiet clientele. The bathroom is shared but with only two rooms there was no problem sharing. It feels more like a homestay than being at a hotel. The restaurant opens at 9 am but you can cook your own breakfast in the communal vegetarian kitchen (eggs and dairy allowed.) Yoga sessions included in the stay was definitely a plus and motivating.
The staff are very kind and attentive. Roman is a great host with many tips on things to do in the area. He speaks excellent English.
The location is perfect for walking to from the bus station and yet a close walk to the main plaza and many restaurants.
We had an issue with the noise on the lower floor (and the hotel was very busy this day) but we moved to the upper level and found it much quieter.
