I loved everything about this accommodation. Celine and Chrstof were fabulous hosts and were always including me with the other guests as I was a solo traveller. I felt safe and the location was perfect 5 minutes to the beach and bars and restaurants. They had a lovely swimming pool that I used every day and the accomodation was very clean. The trips that were organised by Celine were brilliant and so reasonably priced. I went around the whole island with her and my French friends which was superb value for money. I would thoroughly recommend staying here.

Travellers on a budget looking to experience a place like a local will enjoy homestays. This simple accommodation is in a private home, where the host also lives. All facilities are shared and in most cases breakfast is included.
Yashoda is a really great hostess. She welcomed us warmly and was understanding of our delay. We were greeted with a small bottle of rum.
The house is lovingly furnished and the location is fantastic. We had a view of the sea, the river and the mountain. It was so nice that we extended our stay by one night. We would come back again and again. Thank you Yashoda 🙏 for letting us stay in your house.
Great host. Cody has been helpful and proactive regarding the organisation of our excursions/stay. The best excursion for us has been dolphin swimming and visit the crystal rock / ile aux benitier island with the speed boat of le Le Gite du Bonheur.

We stayed 3 nights at Shanti Ghar. We felt at home from the moment we were greeted at the gate by Zak. Comfortable, friendly and lots of tips from Zak and Tom that made us feel like locals.
The honesty system for the bar a great idea. The continental breakfast was all you needed to get going. They offer dinner a couple of nights a week, home cooked and delicious. There’s a supermarket down the road which is handy.
An ideal home base to explore the SW of beautiful Mauritius.
Lovely host who made our stay very special. Very caring, making sure that you have a wonderful stay. Also the location is great with just 1-2 minutes walking distance to a great beach. You have also a wonderful terrace with ocean view. We were there with our car, and were within 10 minutes also able to reach major shopping centres and great food courts.
If we have the chance again we would definitely come here again and stay even longer.
The aparment was large and perfectly situated with a view of both the ocean and the mountains. It was well equipped, even for cooking. It offers both a large terrace with jacuzzi where it invites you to have breakfast or dinner, overlooking the sunrise/sunset.
There is a well-stocked large supermarket nearby, and the beach is within walking distance. Tamarin is a town strategically located for trips to the whole island.
Cécil was a great host, friendly, always advised us with tips e.g. restaurants and very communicative.
Cody is a great host that will provide you will optimal assistance. The team as a whole is very friendly, helpful and attentive.
Le Gite is located in a peaceful area with lots of greeneries in its surroundings. The guest house has great facilities and services. We had a great experience at Le Gite du Bonheur and we recommend.
Great place with many comodities available, just a few mins Drive from tamarin Beach and with great hosts ready to share local recomendations. Recomended!!
