We loved our stay here! We spent 10days over the Christmas period, and really enjoy how peaceful it was staying at Kasba Bonheur. Emma & Gilles are truly incredible hosts, and the whole staff was friendly and always willing to help. If you are into surfing, Gilles can give you lots of tips of where to go to find the best waves 🌊 The food is likely one of the best you can find around Essaouira, so totally recommend eating here. I would recommend hiring a car, as the hotel is slightly out of Essaouira town. We booked one via the hotel, and the whole operation was quite straightforward. Emma arranged it for us! 🌟Less stressful than hiring one at the airport, although you will have less choice on what car you will be given. Our stay was exceptional and we were so sad to leave the Riad after a sunny afternoon spent on the roof terrace. The photos don’t do this place justice. The service could not have been any better - all the staff were extremely hospitable and made a fantastic breakfast every morning. Everything from the yoghurt to the cakes, pancakes and egg tagine prepared in their lovely kitchen. The rooms were lovely and we were able to have our clothes washed after a week spent travelling around morocco. The location inside the Medina is ideal, just 5 minutes from the bus station on foot. We did horse riding and surfing and the tours collected us right outside the Medina which was very convenient. Finally, it was very close to what turned out of be our favourite little fish restaurant, le vague bleue, which was also convenient! Thank you Dar Awil, we hope to come back again! In the meantime, we will recommend this lovely spot to anyone we know travelling to beautiful Essaouira!

We usually book a villa for our family & friends but we decided to try this guest house and we would fully recommend it! All the accommodation has a private feel but spoilt by being looked after (Simon the host could help with or arrange most things) and we loved the breakfasts. The hosts were very welcoming and helpful. The accommodation is spacious, really nicely and lovingly arranged with a modern Moroccan vibe. The communal fridge, kettle and microwave were also useful.
Double/Twin room: lovely, with sofa and nice bathroom (private patio);
Duplex with 2 separate bedrooms (double bed and double/twin), combined small kitchen and lounge area (private patio);
King room: nice bathroom and with very nice terrace overlooking the pool.
You can choose to eat lunch and/or dinner here which was a great option (very reasonable price). The grounds are a wonderful green oasis. It was so relaxing. You can choose to be private or we enjoyed talking to the other guests. Essaouira is an easy 10min drive away and a good supermarket is on the way. The town has a big beach with a smart promenade. We loved wondering around the Medina, where there are plenty of nice places to eat. We love this place and looking forward to returning! Thank you for a wonderful holiday!

Great host. Perfect location. Very nice and clean apartment. We are family of five and all the amenities are provided in the property are perfect for family or with kids. Walking distance from Medina and beach or short taxi ride. Ayoub is a great person he does level best to accommodate all our requirements. It was just like visiting a friend. He also arranged taxi back and to airport for us. His Mother also helped us and she is very kind person. Thanks very much for all the help.

We had a wonderful stay. You can really stay here for a long time. There is yoga, kiting, a small farm, massages, ... the rooms are wonderful. The staff are super friendly and the food is a dream. The host family was really, really nice. It's wonderful there! We would love to come back.
We booked for 9 nights, arrived and didn’t feel comfortable at all cause the hygienic circumstances were not what we expect an accommodation to be. There was mould on the walls and so we decided to leave and look for another place. The place seemed like a good choice but due to the mould and its harmful impact on one’s health we couldn’t stay. If the hygienic circumstances change it would be a great hostel.
Fatima is the a great host. She made our stay wonderful from the first moment we entered the property. She was kind, sweet, generous and patient as me and my group needed to organize our trip to the city. The Riad itself is super clean, has a very comfortable location to do everything! We are really glad that we could spend our time in this property! Worth every penny and more !!
Amazing stay that combines the service and convenience of staying in a Riad with the privacy of a private home. The staff were lovely and available for included and additional services (we recommend the shopping and meal at home!). The house is huge and comfortable for larger group stays. Friendly house cats were a bonus.
