We arrived in the home as guests but you leave a bit like family, since we were staying in the house of the family that they reformed as a hotel. Which feels very warm, homecoming and comfortable. Everything needed provided including basic toiletries, towels, sterilised UV irradiated booked water. Fridge access. Welcome drink and morning hot drink freshly made and provided. Travellers on a budget looking to experience a place like a local will enjoy homestays. This simple accommodation is in a private home, where the host also lives. All facilities are shared and in most cases breakfast is included.
Jay the caretaker of the property is an exceptional gentleman. He made all the difference to our trip. Extremely polite and courteous. He took very good care of us. He took us around Sri Lanka, explained everything so well. A very kind hearted person.

The property is huge, with a nice swimming pool. Jay kept checking everyday just to ensure that we are comfortable.
