Our recent stay at Volunteer Ceylon was very nice. Our host welcomed us with warm hospitality, he was very friendly, always ready to assist with any requests, and offered great insights and recommendations for local attractions and activities. He also helped us organize a tour in and around Ratnapura.
The accommodations were comfortable and clean. The rooms were spacious and equipped with AC and a balcony to make the stay very pleasant.
Moreover, the location of Volunteer Ceylon is perfect for both relaxation and exploration. It is located a bit up the hill and therefore it is quiet but in walking distance to Ratnapura Main Street.
Overall, my experience at Volunteer Ceylon was fantastic.

I would say it was one of my favorite places to stay in Sri Lanka in terms of everything. We went to Nallathanniya to go to Adam's Peek so we weren't expecting much but the owners and the place exceeded our expectations. The place is old and looks like it's not finished yet but it was really clean and enough for us. They helped us with lighting for the night hike and prepared our breakfast (Sandwiches) in advance for the summit. The sandwiches were really tasty and fresh. We didn't want to search for food on Google in the evening so we tried it from the hotel and it was great. I would definitely recommend eating here instead of eating out. Their food is fresh and delicious.

The entire family of the Vegetable Garden House was super nice and helpful, providing us with great info about our upcoming hike to Adams Peak. They even organized a driver from and to Hatton for us with a very reasonable price. I can highly recommend to have dinner here as well, it was just fantastic!

We had a lovely stay at Daffodils Inn! The Inn is located perfectly if you want to walk the Adams Peak. The Inn is run by a lovely family, and they were incredibly helpful and made us feel very welcome! We also got delicious breakfast when we got home from the Adams peak hike! I would highly recommend☺️

The couple who run the hotel were more than accomodating. They drove us to the station and helped us buy a ticket and board the train. Also offered information about travelling and sightseeing in Sri Lanka. Amazing.

It is the best homestay I’ve been to in Sri Lanka. The family was great, nice and helpful. The room was big, very clean and they provided everything I need. Wifi was also good. And I had a really good Sri Lankan breakfast. I truly recommend to come here and meet this excellent family!

Host family made our stay memorable, this was the loveliest host family in Sri Lanka, our kids were so happy to play with the "big kids".
The owner made sure our activities went smoothly, he took us around in his car.
The porch area & massive trees in the garden provide enough shade to relax under the blistering heat.
Great place, beautiful exotic garden, excellent tea and traditional dishes and above a warmhearted and caring host family. We had great talks and good vibe on this short overnight stay. Thank you so much!
