We had a fantastic stay at Arthith Guesthouse, the location is amazing with balconies facing onto the river. The room is spacious and comfortable, and there are tables and chairs both inside the room and on the balcony. The staff are really lovely and helpful. We wish we could have stayed another night!

We stayed in both the older “budget” rooms at Meexok and also the newer rooms with the views at Amanda. The budget rooms are perfect and in a great location. The newer rooms are definitely a little further away from the town but it wasn’t a big deal at all we walked everywhere. The new rooms are absolutely gorgeous with great views out over the river and limestone cliffs. The bathrooms in the newer rooms are outside and exceptional. The shower in these rooms was the best shower so far on our south east Asia travels. Absolutely recommend staying in any of the rooms but especially the newer ones. The brothers running this place are so wonderful too. We did a tour and booked a bus through them and both were really great.

Absolutely lovely people who work there, we got toilets and shower seperated from our room which was no problem at all, the were as clean as the could be.
Also the shower provides a huge amount of hot water.
The best shower we had so far while travelling laos, the water pressure was very good!
Breakfast was noodles or rice or soup, always veggie.
Laundry is for free there.
To get to the "city center" it takes you like 20 minutes of walking.
Our matresses seemed very hard art the beginning, but after one night of sleeping we found that they are actually pretty comfy
