We rented out the entire villa (4 bedrooms/5 bathrooms), plus kitchen/dining/living areas. This was a ton of space - could have comfortably housed 14 people rather than our 8. Everything was quite clean, the beds were soft and comfortable, and the showers were warm (once we figured out the hot water heaters). The home is down a little dirt road halfway between two major streets. The neighborhood was walkable to the downtown area, or else you could take a $1.25 tuktuk ride, and it was also an easy walk to the local market each morning. The WiFi worked
Anou, our hostess, was just outstanding. She welcomed us with delicious snacks and fruit, checked in on us every day, and was quick to provide everything we could possibly ask for - laundry service, a missing kitchen utensil, a case of hard-to-find Coke Zero, whatever. She escorted us to the market the first day to show us the ropes and make sure we understood what fair prices should be, and put us in contact with a little nonprofit around the corner where we volunteered doing some English practice with local university students. They don't do daily cleaning, but came to clean or bring fresh towels/sheets anytime we requested it.

The host is so accommodating. He helped us contact the mini van station when we were not sure if they were going to pick us up. He made sure that we had a nice stay. Offered electric fan at the entrance of the homestay while we were waiting for our service. Overall, we had a good experience staying in this homestay. Good location and good food.

My family and I had such a great experience with Sok Phen and his family! They really made us feel like we were a part of the family. It was a great way to experience the hospitality and culture that Cambodia is known for. His wife prepared delicious meals when requested and a Tuktuk driver was arranged to take us anywhere we needed. Accommodations are basic but spacious and comfortable. Sok Phen happily shared his community with us and for that we are truly grateful!

The pool looked nice although I did not use. Nice bar and breakfast tables poolside. Seemed like a friendly, sociable area to relax and visit with others.
The owner trusted me to leave after one night and return to pay, because I could not get USD from several ATMs

I’ve been staying here for three weeks now, and every moment has been filled with joy and tranquility. There are many interesting places nearby, such as a crocodile farm, a silk factory, and floating villages with fisherman families who offer boat tours. The hosts are incredibly friendly and attentive, fulfilling your wishes even before you voice them.
Of course, the nearby Angkor Wat ruins are the main reason I came here. The host not only took me around all the ruins, showing me the most beautiful spots and giving tips on places I could explore on my own, but he also took plenty of amazing photos and videos for my channel, creating beautiful content.
Within walking distance, there are several cozy cafes where you can enjoy delicious meals, or simply sit and work in the comfort of air conditioning with a cup of coffee or a smoothie. If you’re in the mood for simple, budget-friendly local food, the hosts are always ready to cook up a generous portion of hearty Cambodian dishes. While there isn’t a special menu, you can request something specific, but I enjoyed leaving the choice to the hosts. Every day, they surprised me with something new and unique from the local cuisine.
The homestay is surrounded by a beautiful garden, making it the perfect place for meditation, solitude, and admiring the pristine beauty combined with the simplicity of rural life. The sunsets over the fields are stunning and will forever remain in my memory.
The hostess of the homestay sewed me special white clothing in her home sewing workshop, and that very evening, I found myself meditating in a local temple to the chants of Buddhist monks. She also helped me sew dresses to my specifications, making the experience even more personal and special. The host organized the meditation in the temple, making the experience even more unforgettable.

This was an amazing rural experience 20 minutes outside of Siem Reap town! We got live the life of Meta (the host) for a couple days, which was truly insightful into authentic Cambodian life. Meta was a great host, and took us to his rice farm to catch frogs, snake and crabs to feast on (for free!) He also took us the local silk and crocodile farm. The homestay is tucked away amongst rice fields and has a little shop next door for beer etc. Thank you Meta for a wonderful time! :)
If you want to have an amazing experience with the locals in Siem Reap, I strongly recommend to stay at the family home stay here with them!🤗 they welcome us and we had a lovely time with them, we felt to be part of their family! Amazing people , food and home stay!
We had a wonderful time at Metas Homestay. Meta and his family and friends are great hosts and showed us the real Cambodian lifestyle. We learned so much about the country and had this great opportunity to look behind the touristic phasade of the country and get insights in rice harvest, Cambodian family life and Cambodian daily life routines.
Great hostel, run by mostly British and German people, but they really seem to care about supporting locals anyways (for example they have a volunteering program for a local school). Stuff was super nice and helpful, and even asked for some feedback, and if they’d change the things I've mentioned to them it would definitely be a 10/10. Social atmosphere, vegetarian/vegan food options and compared to other hostels in the area quite cheap!
The hostel is located in a silent surrounding and very close to Angkor Wat. Downtown Siem Reap can also be reached with a short bicycle ride. Renting a bicycle at the homestay was simple and easy. In the homestay you can get very good and affordable fried rice, noddles and beverges. The room was very big with two levels. But only upper level had AirCon in my room. As I was solo travel this was not an issue. The host family is very kind and friendly. For the price this place is potentially unbeatable.
If you are travelling to Cambodia you have to try this, to get the true Cambodian culture and family feel. The home stay was one of the best experience my husband and I ever had. We visited Bangkok, Koh tao, and Phuket before going to Monyharch’s homestay.
The homestay provided us an experience to Cambodian farm life. Monyharch’s wife’s restaurants food was so yummy 🤤.
They are such a happy family. I cant wait to go back in the future
The Nature has a beautiful garden setting and stunning pool. The whole experience was incredibly relaxing. An idyllic, private home away from home, Bunny and his team went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and help us make plans during our stay. We loved hearing about the history of the area and suggested activities.
Tuk Tuk driver Mr Thy was also amazing.
