It is a great place to see the beautiful sunset and socialize. It's right beside the river for swimming, jumping off the platform. There's a full restaurant there and the food was delicious. Lots of lovely dogs and cats to interact with if you're into animals.

Relatively remote area, quiet, and an extremely nice lady at the reception. They managed to create an awesome garden with a pond and trees. Porch was wonderful to work from (digital nomand here), and the WiFi was quite good

The hosts were brilliant, very friendly & always willing to help. PK even paired me with another solo traveller so we could share a tuk tuk tour of many of the attractions in the area.
Free bikes to use at any time & I made good use of them, cycling around the locality of the guest house as well as cycling into town (over the old railway bridge - the shortest route) & back.
The location was lovely, far enough away from the town to be rural & authentic, with great views, whilst near enough to get there easily by tuk, cycling or walking.
What great value for money - a large spacious room with a balcony & mountain view, a comfortable bed & great (quiet) air conditioning & fan.
I was in the annex, a short walk or bike ride from the Pepperian where a simple breakfast was served each morning.
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay & would certainly go back if I ever visit Kampot again.

We only had a quick one night stopover. The hotel was basic, but clean, well maintained, and good value for the cost. The management was helpful in arranging onward travel. The location was a short distance from the center and we were happy to stay in a more quiet but still convenient area.

I loved this peaceful location surrounded by beautiful countryside to explore on bicycle. BUT you have to know this place is far from Kampot town! Don't come here if you aren't here for the spa.
The spa experience is AMAZING! Like nothing I've ever done anywhere in my travels. It really was a total cultural immersion. I had an amazing experience and I loved that the staff couldn't speak English and communication was through gestures and caring touch rather than words. My spa day flowed seamlessly. The spa is totally different than any spa I've been to. I paid a set price for the 1/2 day. There was no menu and nothing to add to the price..... but I was given so much attention and loving care.
The spa day started with learning about traditional women's medicine and pounding many kinds of fragrant roots in a mortar and pestle. The roots are good for every health ailment and also for beautiful skin. I kept imagining that I'd travelled back 500 years and was in ancient Angkorian Cambodia. Even the steam machine for the steam room was wonderfully primitive. We used the pounded roots as a kind of body lotion in the stone walled steam room.
After the steam I was gently ushered to a lawn chair where I was given a long and most incredible head massage. Afterwards my hair was washed for me while I still lay in the chair and drifted into dream states.
I was given some time to relax in a beautiful mineral springs fed stone pool. And after that there was more! All through the day I was brought tea and exotic fruits and even Khmer desserts.
Meals are eaten together with the spa ladies and other guests. The food was by far the best I've had in Cambodia. Everything is locally grown and organic and so fresh! Even the rice noodles in our lunch curry were made just down the street.
My bungalow was small, simple, and sweet with a big balcony overhanging a pond and shared bathrooms

The decoration was unique, all hand made. Very aesthetic and intimate. The stuff was very nice, helpful, most of them Europeans, so they could understand our interests and taste, but with a lot of respect to the locals.
I spend three nights at La Maison de Soriya and enjoyed it a lot. If you are looking for a genuine homestay experience this is the place to go. The place is beautiful and Jeff is a perfect host. It was pouring down so I got to talk a lot with him and enjoyed being around his son and three dogs. Help yourself to a few beers in the garden bar and don’t miss out on Jeff’s breakfast. I could have stayed a lot longer and maybe I will some day.
Staff was very welcoming and literally made us feel at home. The house is beautiful, especially the outside space. Room came with AC and was comfortable and very cheap compared to other places (for almost the same money we stayed in a rural bungalow with just a fan). I would say it was one of the highlights of our stay in Kampot. Thank you Pepperian Homestay!
We loved staying at The Magic Sponge. It was an oasis while travelling. We stayed longer. The beds were great. The room was clean. The extra bonus of mini-golf and pool tables kept us entertained. ( as well as the fabulous coffee) The restaurant at the hotel was fabulous. Portions were huge and well cooked. William was a great host. It was our favourite place to stay in Asia.
