The bedding was comfortable and the breakfast was sumptuous. The host was was thoughtful and when she noticed my young child was not eating much of the food, she prepared another sandwich for her. She also made an effort to share the stories behind some of the figurines she gave the kids using the translator. We had a great time!

Loved our stay, everything about it was wonderful. Our host, who is the proud owner, is so charming, friendly and conversational - her English is perfect and her taste is impeccable. She truly makes you feel like a guest in her home, rather than you're crashing in somebody's house. Aesthetically, there are so many artful touches in the house, tiny details that make all the difference; a cool piece of art, or a curious painting that she's collected on travels of her own. The house is just beautifully designed (have I mentioned that already?) - modern with clean lines, but also eclectic and traditional in the same breath. Breakfast was a traditional Japanese breakfast, which was fantastic and fun. There's nothing not to like about this place - truly a highlight of our trip to Kyushu!

It has all the amenities provided. A comfortable homestay. The best part was the indoor and outdoor onsen and the foot bath. It is very suitable if you have an extended family vacation. The house comes with a fully equipped kitchen.
It’s my best homestay experience. Nirei, the host is incredibly welcoming and nice. She has the biggest heart and a beautiful soul! I feel like going home! Nirei speaks fluent English and she shares many life experiences with us. The place is very clean and location is great. Easy accessible to the main street. Homemade Japanese breakfast is very delicious. I highly recommend you visit Imi Ola House when you travel to Yufu! I’ll definitely come back again!
Mika was a great host. Great little homestay, breakfast each morning was wonderful and homely. Beautiful surroundings and a lovely country walk into Yufuin. Mika would sometimes give us a lift. Lovely little onsen in the garden all rustic. Mkka also helped us wash our clothes.
The Lady who runs the Ryokan is super nice! The food is really tasty (Though for me it was always to much. I could never finish eventhing).
It fells like a home stay.
