It was close enough to the station. While I was there, there was the potato festival going on. It only took a few minutes to walk to the main drag area, so that was nice.

Satoru and Tae San were excellent hosts and very hospitable.
They truly made us feel at home.
When we asked about where to put our snow equipment, Satoru kindly made a rack outside overnight.
Both of them joined us for dinner one night, which helped us feel totally at ease.
Gurugulu was a haven of tranquillity with a fantastic view of Mt Yotei.
Suitable for a family or a group of friends.
Definitely will recommend to all my friends and family.

The staff were so friendly and helpful. The rooms were spacious and warm, and so well situated to the Annupuri slopes. The food on offer was good value for money in the area and quite tasty.

Travellers on a budget looking to experience a place like a local will enjoy homestays. This simple accommodation is in a private home, where the host also lives. All facilities are shared and in most cases breakfast is included.
Great hostel with transport services/shuttles too and from grand harifu and it's close to the free shuttles. The japanese breakfast every morning was great (similar things everyday but it didn't bother me). The rooms feel a little small but there are quite a few storage options and the bunks were super comfortable and it was clean! The best part of all is the 7 eleven across the road!
A traditional family house. Very comfortable and our host family were such a delight. The delicious traditional Japanese food was a highlight and sharing our lodgings with many and varied interesting travellers was a delight.

Very clean and well equipped bathroom, showers and kitchen. Convenient grocery store across the road. Great drying room. Free shuttle to and from the ski resort.
It is a very pleasant home stay in lower Hirafu, which is accessible by Hirafu free shuttle bus. Room are new, clean and spacious. Staff are helpful with free fetching from JR Kutchan. Breakfast is good with great variety of food and drinks. This hotel also provides ski storage. Hotpot dinner is fantastic. Overall it is a wonderful stay at Q Fox.
Great location, just 10 minute walk to Grand Hirafu central bit of shops and restaurants. David and Elle are great hosts, always so kind and helpful, they made us fantastic breakfast every morning and drove shuttle up to the mountain. Walk back from ski field to accommodation was just around 10 minutes.
Accommodation was always clean and warm, perfect place for ski holidays!
Location was great for skiing but you would need a car. It was a vert cute home stay kind of place and great value considering the proximity to Niseko and Rusutsu.
Great Location. The cottage is right at the centre of Hirafu, walking distance to the supermarket, and restaurant.
We got picked up by Kenji from JR station, and Odajima-san is also a great host and communicative. Got discounted rate for renting the snow gears
And finally, the cottage itself is perfect, provide everything we need, and we get to see the snow from the bedroom window and also from the balcony. Thanks Odajima-san. We had a wonderful and relaxing stay.
