The property was in a nice location close enough to Iiyama Station. The hosts were some of the nicest people we have met and drove us to and from the station (6:30am!!). One of the comfiest places we have stayed and hope we can go back soon.

The first thing to say is that the staff is really friendly and helpful. The location is great, at the heart of the resort, just a couple of minutes walk from the ski slopes. The rooms are simple and comfortable and the breakfast was very tasty. The bath downstairs is spatious and very pleasant and the facilities for skying are very good, with even a drying room for ski gear! It was a great stay!

Location of ski lodge, two minute walk and you can ski down to the lifts and we had loads of snow at Christmas.
Cute lodge, lovely shared space, better than photos, cosy and loved the breakfast and honesty bar, teas coffees etc in the shared lounge with the fire etc - it was all very lovely and a great experience

Shuttles from bus station and to restaurants etc super helpful and staff were great at being accommodating - we were early in the season so not loads of restaurants open etc.
staff were all English speakers which was helpful for us and they met our request of a specific room which was really kind.
Can’t thank individual staff as they didn't introduce themselves by name but they were all nice!

Convenient, quiet location in the centre of Iiyama. Spacious room (rarer for Japan) and shared facilities.
The bathroom... it's the biggest downfall and for a longer stay it might have found this is in the negative section but, for 2 days, we were maybe in there 20 minutes tops so didn't bother us.

Every day have difference dishes in breadfast and dinner, taste good, especially the hot pot. warm in room. The service providers are very nice although you won't see them all the time. And I like the dry room very much, it's very convenience to dry my clothes after snowboarding.

Okamisan (owner) is so lovely and we enjoyed her home made dinner and breakfast. We’d like to come back to this Ryokan. Bus stop to Nozawa ski area is next to it, so it was convenient, too.

Lovely host on arrival, the mountains were great for more experienced skiers. My children struggled as beginners, but this is perhaps because the resort was very icey at our time of visiting. Cosy cabin, our kids loved it!
Abby and Mark were great hosts! Breakfast was amazing and all of Abby's cooking was delightful. Abby was very helpful in suggesting things for us to do on days we didn't ski.
The management was very lovely and helpful. They handled our ski lift pass with better price. Some facilites were refurnished couple of months ago, some shower has been added. Big shout out for Olivier who was a great host.
Nothing to dislike about this place great location, great food, great hosts.
Rooms were comfortable, facilities were excellent, we will be back again next season.
the host family are so welcome and helpful, shuttle bus to ski field was provided daily, easy location to nearby restaurants and shop! the place is so clean and cosy. will definitely come back !
