We had a pleasant stay at Guesthouse Nedoko. We had a lovely view of the mountains from our room with a twin bunk bed. The furniture in our room and in the common spaces was stylish, though the futon on the bunk bed was not as comfortable as a futon on the floor. Mika was communicative before the stay and helped us book a reservation at a local restaurant. The one inconvenience we found is that the guesthouse is closed from 9:30am to 3pm, including the bathrooms and common spaces. Had we been staying in Magome for longer, we would have preferred to stay somewhere where we could relax and use the bathrooms during the day. But overall we had a positive experience.

Perfect location for hiking the nakasendo trail. The common areas was clean, and the straff was friendly. One note about restaurants: Almost everything was closed when I arrived around 18:00. It was difficult to find somewhere to eat dinner. I found a place I believe you can reserve online. I was lucky to come without a reservation! According to other gusts, I think the straff will recommend this place.
