I really enjoyed my two nights in my guest house. The location is conveniently close to the streetcar station and is easy walking distance from Motomachi with the historic buildings. I chose to stay in the Japanese-style room, which I really enjoyed and would recommend.

Great and strategic location, smells great, very interesting and eclectic interior design with some vintage-styled vinyl turntables, and cassettes. All the amenities provided are in really good shape and great quality.

Very friendly staff and a super interesting building, I booked it for the decor but the room itself was very comfortable, and super close to the station. They also have two friendly cats!

The house is about 15kms from the city centre, next to the beach. that means this place is not crowded at all, behind the house is a mountain so you can have a walk around this area. you can even hear the sea wave during your sleep. Can not see the sunrise from this house but if you have a car, just drive to the East.
The decorations are my favorite! i always dream about a house like that.
The host…. 10000000/10! she is a nice lady and we communicate by Google translate. she can speak Chinese. She is also welcome me with a small breakfast because i didn’t have dinner on the previous night. This place makes me feel like home
Travelers on a budget looking to experience a place like a local will enjoy homestays. These simple accommodations are in a private home, where the host also lives. All facilities are shared and in most cases breakfast is included.
Absolutely lovely hosts, very friendly, welcoming and more than happy to assist with any needs. I strongly recommend this stay for solo travellers as well as anyone who likes a home away from home.
It is a very nice 2-story house with cute decorations and figures all over on the first floor. When we walked in, we were instantly amazed by the warmth and atmosphere that appeared in our sight. We were then greeted by the lovely hosts. The facilities are very clean and organised, suited well to our needs. And the room was quite spacious with a great view of the outside snow.
Sukumoto San was a very friendly and informative owner and manager. Very good host. Will surely stay here again the next time. Thank you Sukumoto San for making my stay in Hakodate memorable. Cheers to your sake. The check-in time at 3pm is very good and the door is left open 24 hours. So no need to worry about coming back late. Bath towel is provided FOC which is a plus.
Lovely hosts that went above and beyond to take of me. I got a ride back to the station as I was quite heavily packed and they even called some inns for me that only spoke Japanese to make reservations. Lovely authentic home and I felt very welcome in a spacious room!
Very cozy, very friendly staff. The homestay made me feel like I was at home in Hakodate. When I left they even gave me a super cute bag of Japanese cookies and sweets! Next time I come to Hakodate I will definitely stay here again.
Very good location and a nice experience of a home stay. Hosts are really friendly and my son had a great time chatting with them. They even went to the trouble of getting a toy for my son as well as some snacks for our drive ahead! Lots of knick knacks that speak to the different places the hosts travelled to, very interesting!
Located outside of the tourist area, with ample parking. The main Hakodate town which is a lot livelier (where the locals eat, live) is a short drive away. Walking distance to a couple of eateries on the beach front. Very attentive Motel Manager. Lower priced if booked directly with the motel.
An amazing homestay! Perfect location, and super close to Mt Hakodate viewing station. Mama and Papa San were so lovely, generous and helpful. We would love to return some day.
Free tea and coffee constantly too. Arigato goziamasu!
