Staying with Megumi was like a nice warm hug. She was so excited to see me when I first arrived and was so hospitable my entire stay. She served me tea every morning and we had nice conversations. I stayed here as a landing spot after skiing all day, which if you have a rental car I recommend staying here and going to Furano/Tomamu! They plow the roads to her house so it wasn’t an issue driving in the winter. The hot stone spa was amazing after a long day of skiing. There is a 711/Lawsons within 5 minute drive and you’re about 15 minutes from Furano ski mountain. She has many cats that are all very nice and stay out of your room. The Japanese superior room was very spacious with a very nice view and private bathroom. Traditional tatami room with futon.

The location being close to the ski slopes was bonus with a very short drive. Also in walking distance to restaurants and an easy drive to the supermarket. The owners prepare an information book with restaurant recommendations which was very helpful. Owners were very responsive to our queries and recommendations to restaurants and nearby onsen. We enjoyed the onsen (15 mins drive) so much that we went twice! The property was also very clean and the items placed in the house were thoughtful, I could tell the owners take pride in the rental apartment, very well thought-out.

The host was super helpful, went out of the way to make our stay comfortable. Dropped us to the train station in the morning, provided complementary melons amongst other things. The property itself is as advertised - spacious, well furnished rooms, almost brand new. Location is in outskirts of Furano, be prepared to walk a bit if taking public transport or take a taxi. Would highly recommend for all travellers looking for authentic Japanese homestay experience.
Really beautiful location and quick drive away from the slopes. I stayed for a week and could have stayed longer. Arnau and Serge were great hosts and really lovely people. My room had a beautiful view of the mountain and the bed was super comfortable. Would definitely go back!!

The cabin had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, and was well located a short walk up to the Kitanomine chair lift. The wooden interior made the room feel very comfy. We enjoyed being able to wake up in the morning and see the hill from the window. There has been a lot of attention to detail in the practical set up of the room, and there is ample space to store snow boards/skis and gear. Mr. Shinojima is a lovely host, and drove us to the train station on our last day.
The couple who ran the place were exceptionally friendly, warm and helpful. We had a few lovely conversations with them and learnt more about the locals. They also recommended places where we could go. We had 1 breakfast there and it was rather substantial. What we love was that the bread was freshly baked by the lady boss herself. Really good! The place was very clean. The futons were so cosy and comfortable. There's a washer dryer which we could use for 500 yen per load.
