The family were extremely welcoming. We were invited into their home for light refreshments upon arrival. They helped organise lifts to and from the property at a moments notice. The add on breakfast and dinners were fantastic traditional home cooked meals. Once again we were welcomed into their home to enjoy their families lovely cooking. If you are to stay here, make sure to try the world’s greatest tea imaginable. Highly recommend.

You wouldn't meet a more friendly and welcoming person as the owner Bader who above and beyond to help. Good location next to a supermarket and places to eat and a reasonably easy walk to front gates of Petra. Highly recommended.

Our stay at Petra Woodenhouse could not have been any better!
The house is amazing, with beautiful rooms with wooden interior that is entirely self-made by the host. Another highlight is the rooftop terrace and dining area that provides an impressive view over Wadi Musa and Petra and where we could enjoy beautiful sunsets.
Mahmoud and his family is extremely welcoming and warm-hearted. They even provided us with a beautiful local experience of cooking the traditional Jordanien dish Mansaf together.

It is a nice place if you are planning to come into your room only for sleeping. The check-in was flexible. The room and the bathroom was clean. When I arrived, the door was open and there was no one inside. I called the owner to let him know and he, fully trusting me, told me which room I need to go to and just make myself comfortable.

Issa was a great host, he welcomed us at the property and made sure we were settled in. It was really lovely talking to him about Petra and Jordan. The location is very close to the Petra visitor centre, just a minute or so by ca and maybe no more than a gentle 10 minute walk. The whole family were very welcoming and our children played together. We decided to have dinner at the accommodation - this was really good traditional Jordanian food. I rested for few days, it was just like home. Quais is excellent human being, can give you a feel of Jordanian culture. Very knowledgeable and speaks perfect English.

Great hostel and the host is a very kind guy, drove us around to watch the sunset and cooked for us on the campfire together with his nice friend. Just great people that make you feel at home.
Ahmed was a great host. Tried to go out of his way to make us feel comfortable. His wife can cook traditional Jordanian dishes for lunch/dinner, which we tried and were delicious. The apartment that we stayed in was large, comfortable, clean with great views of Petra mountains.
All tourism related businesses have suffered due to ongoing war in Israel/Palestine and I hope things get better. I would definitely stay again, if I came to Petra.

Great location right near the entrance to Petra. Small pool and spa on the rooftop terrace which has great views of Petra. The general manager is a character and a great host.
Fantastic hotel with lots of character, set in the hills near Petra. Staff were incredibly friendly and really made us feel welcome. Thank you to the male and female members of the spa for our foot massages (needed after hiking!) Mohammed for showing us around and Saber for great hosting in the restaurant. Great food, lovely rooms and grounds with pool and outside jacuzzi.
