We LOVED everything. The host, the house, the coziness, the position in front of the ocean, we could see an amazing show of northern nights. Olga, the host, is incredibly kind and nice; we had a last minute change of plans because of the weather and our northern lights chase and despite of the very short notice of our request she was so flexible and accommodating. The house is amazingly decorated, you really feel like home and honestly if we wouldn’t have had so less time during our trip, we would have loved to relax there some more days. Absolutely recommended!! 🩷

We enjoyed this farm house! It was a homely lodging with a cute sitting room and heirloom art, cross-stitching, and furniture throughout. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes, pots, and utensils for cooking. The beds (all singles or twins) were very comfortable, and the farm was very scenic. Overall it was a cozy change from the more modern and minimalist guesthouses that we stayed at for the majority of our trip.
Travelers on a budget looking to experience a place like a local will enjoy homestays. These simple accommodations are in a private home, where the host also lives. All facilities are shared and in most cases breakfast is included.
Andrea is a lovely host who gave us some very useful information and made us some lovely bread upon our arrival. The accommodation had a really nice communal lounge area in which to sit and relax during the evening. Compared to other Icelandic properties it was reasonable value for money.
The room was well-designed and comfortable. The decor was old-style and provided us with a perfect Icelandic homestay. One of the unique aspects is the personalized atmosphere it provides. Since it's a homestay, it was very calm, and felt like we were at our own home. The next time I visit Iceland, I will definitely stay at this place again.
Stunning view from the apartment. Would be ideal for spotting the Northern LIghts at the right time of year.
Lovely deck looking over the water - perfect for an evening drink.
Well appointed kitchen for self-catering.
The host family live on the property so were available if we needed anything.
Great host. Rooms are clean and warm. Great shower. Kitchen facility is well equipped. Host is very freindly and as a bonus you can hike privit waterfall.
peaceful place with lovely hosts! warm and calm atmosphere and the best breakfast I ever had with homemade bread, pesto and hummus, fresh fruits & vegetables & a lot of vegan products! all in all just perfect!!
Private home, very cozy. Host was exceptional. Let us do laundry overnight and made us an incredible homemade breakfast with baked bread. Nice shower. Rooms
were individual bedrooms in house. Had a nice outdoor patio area to hang out with hot tub and sauna. Got a taste of Iceland at this home.
AIl it was great to be their guest. Siggi helped me out with a mechanic problem and was very pendant about any need we had. Great host and nice house. We also saw amazing northern lights there!
