The location near the famous church was great and it was in walking distance to shops and attractions.

Great location, (liked how guesthouse was in a neighborhood near the Pond) basic accommodations...nothing fancy. Quite like an Air B&B as we never met the owner of the property. Just a note on the front door directing us to our room where key was in the door.
*Basic was ok as we only were there to sleep/shower...most of the time out and about. I would consider staying there again.

It was a lovely, cozy apartment cum guesthouse located near the Mjodd bus stop in Reykjavík, Iceland. The owner provided a kitchen facility, but we were unaware of it. A self-check-in option was there, and detailed instruction was written on an instruction paper. A Netto supermarket (Google could not identify Netto as a supermarket) was next to the bus stop, and a couple of restaurants and shops were also there. The house is located ~9 km away from the city center. Visitors should keep in mind that public transport is frequently unavailable on Sundays.
This guest house offers free Wi-Fi and parking, plus a communal lounge and terrace. Reykjavík Domestic Airport and BSÍ Bus Terminal are within 3 minutes’ drive.

The couple who runs the Alba Guesthouse is wonderful. They provide a phenomenal breakfast, and the location is great. This was my third time staying here, and I'll definitely be coming back.
Travelers on a budget looking to experience a place like a local will enjoy homestays. These simple accommodations are in a private home, where the host also lives. All facilities are shared and in most cases breakfast is included.
The apartment is nice and warm and it’s placed in a good position, close to Rekjavik but in a quite place.
Just one room as bedroom, living room and kitchen but it’s enough for a couple who need to stay for a week. Large windows allow to appreciate the light from outside and the sunset, lovely! Very Very Very comfortable bed, 10 stars are not enough for that! We past 6 days here and for what concerns the homestay everything was perfect!
Arni is a great host. The apartment is the lower floor in the same house Arni lives and he was always available for any help we needed. He even helped us clean and wash our rental car on the final day.
Kids enjoyed playing with his dogs and cats.
I would recommend the place if you are looking for a good comfortable stay with a great host.
