Some of the rooms are renovated and they feel good and luxurious from inside, but its almost an open guest-house kind of place where the door opens directly onto a public place. The room i was given had the stairs just in front and the care-taker's small cabin right in front - which resulted in noise many a times. And if you don't draw the curtains carefully, anyone can easily peek into your room. It was definitely expensive for what it offered

It was a homestay but could have been kept clean. I have connected with the oddesey stay but they did not bother to take it up even as a feedback. I did sent them the pictures of uncleaned washroom.

Nanda Devi Homestay was fantastic. The family were so welcoming and friendly. They could not have been more helpful to us and made our stay very enjoyable. Josimath is also a lovely place to be, with nice places to walk and explore. It made an ideal base for trekking from.
The staff was very courteous and helpful. The food was really good and the service was prompt . The location is good,and the view gets better when it snows.
It snowed heavily the day we were leaving causing great difficulty getting our vehicle out. However we had great help from the staff and a few locals who helped us navigate our vehicle safely .
