Amazing location, just 20 mins walk from the Periyar National Park entrance. Room was very clean. Shower was cold but appreciated with the heat outside. The staff was amazing. Nasir runs the place - he was ever so friendly and helpful! We had two lovely home cooked meals too and were in awe of all the incredible wildlife around us. We also got shown around the "back", taking a walk in the forest/jungle, spotting black monkeys, white monkeys and the giant black squirrel. What a truly beautiful and peaceful (!) place. Very relaxed atmosphere, we wished we could have stayed longer.

Joe and his family are amazing hosts and offer a beautiful house to stay at. Mistletoe was probably the highlight of our 9 day Kerala trip. They serve freshly cooked home food, strike up amazing conversations if you'd like it, and the views from the balcony are astounding!
If you're into birds, you'll be able to spend hours every morning and every evening just sitting in your balcony and observing a great variety of small and large birds. No need to go anywhere far for bird watching! We literally sat in the balcony with our coffee and spent hours watching the Malabar hornbills and racket tailed drongos and parakeets and many other birds.
It's one of those places where you know the hosts care, and curate the entire stay for you accordingly.

Wow - absolutely loved our time at Maliyeckal. It felt like a home away from home. We stayed for 3 nights.
Jubia, Leju and their boys were so kind and fun. It was an amazing home nestled in the bush - very relaxing and calm.
The family live downstairs and the guests are upstairs.
The room and bathroom was very clean.
They helped us by arranging both airport pick up and drop off to Alleppy after our stay for a reasonable price.
They helped us catch the bus into town each day to go hiking (bus stop only 500m away and bus to Munnar every 10 minutes)
The breakfast and dinners were so delicious and healthy.
We did a cooking class with Jubia and her mother which was a highlight and we learnt a lot!

The homestay is in a beautiful and peaceful place and is very comfortable. The hosts were welcoming, friendly and very helpful. We had breakfast and dinner at the property, eating outside on the terrace and the food was tasty Kerala cuisine perfectly cooked. They even came up with a way for to get to our next destination that was much quicker as well as costing less. This was a fabulous stay that we will never

The most amazing Homestay in Kerala. The host family are lovely and offered me breakfast and dinner which was delicious. The host took me out for the day including an amazing hike and culture shows. Anything I wanted they were able to make it happen. I really recommend this place.
Nice homestay next to the jungle and not far away from Kumily main road. The bedrooms have a really cool terrace where you can chill and drink a tea. The staff are very friendly!
This not a resort, why booking .com say it's resorts? Location is very bad. No prpoer road facilities to the stay, you can't find anything near by the stay. Taking your car to the stay very danger and you have to park your car 1km away from the stay in road.
I don't consider this is resorts even they not named it but why booking. com called its resort. Photos look good but reality is very bad. Its like a home stay with 4 rooms .
Very nice and very clean homestay. Mr Ajeesh is very humble , cooperative and man of helping nature. Room is having very good nature's view. It was worth stay and also value for money.
We had an incredible stay at the Jungleview. It literally is situated on the border of the jungle and you could spend the whole day sitting on the terrace watching monkeys, birds and squirrels. Nazeer was the most welcoming, sweet person! He was incredibly kind and made us feel like at home! We had really great homecooked food by his wife ( veg and non-veg possible). The quality price ratio is incredible and we highly recommend the Homestay!
The view from balcony is just mesmerizing. The place is very calm,peaceful and just so beautiful. If you love nature then this homestay is the best place to choose. And the owner Ajeesh was very kind and gave us all the comforts.
Jungleview home stay is the best homestay I've found in India through 2 months travelling:
- The owner(big soul man) and his staff are kind and helpful. They can help you to manage the activities in kumily
- The place is like in the photos(probably better) .You will feel adsorbed in the jungle environment and easily you can see a lot of wild animals.
- Rooms are clean,functional and well decorated.
- Price is low
- Position is 15 minutes walkin from the park entrance (5 minutes by tuc tuc).
