My stay at Udai Niwas was beautiful. The owners assisted with picking me up from an overnight train journey and allowed me to check-in to the hotel that morning and I was also offered breakfast. I felt this kindness throughout my stay. They assisted with a driver to Karni Matar temple (30kms away) and other helpful information regarding getting around Bikaner and various other sites worth visiting. I had an early train the next morning; again the transport was arranged for me and they even included a packed breakfast. I ate two meals at the adjacent cafe which were delicious and extremely economical. My room was spacious and impeccably clean with great aircon! My one slight disappointment (which I feel bad mentioning given all the other positives) was that the hot water ran out halfway through my shower, but no big deal really as the outside temperature was still about 35 degrees during my stay and a cold shower never hurt anyone! Overall this is a lovely homestay run by a beautiful, caring family. Highly recommended, especially for a solo traveller, given the additional assistance offered.

Everything. We were welcomed so well by Bhwana and Marendra - they know the region by heart and share all their nice tips. We loved all our friendly discussions in the beautiful living room, at dinner or in the courtyard. Nothing is too much to ask.
What we particularly loved about the proprety;
- the decoration, full of very nice details and everything nicely done.
- the food - absolutely excellent rajastani recipes who make you fall in love with this region even more. Furthermore, it is served either in the beautiful dining hall or in the courtyard with the sound of the fountain, music and beautifully decorated with trees and flowers.
- very clean room and bathroom.
- the excellent wifi connexion.
- the amazing shower.
- everything works perfectly from TV to AC.
- 2 steps away from the most beautiful fort we have seen in Rajastan and from the beautiful old city where we found the people were the most welcoming as well.

When I stayed in Bikaner in January, it was unusually cold. At night the thermometer dropped to 4°C. Host Salim therefore offered a second blanket and turned on the boiler for me to shower. Thanks. The room was large, but the bathroom tiny. The homestay is not easy to find in the narrow streets. Just ask the locals, everyone knows it.
We received a warm welcome on our arrival. The room is spacious, clean and very traditional in its style. The family also run a restaurant at the front of the homestay which served great food. We had all our meals there! Though there several options nearby. Breakfast was delicious and they kindly offered it at times that suited us. The home stay was very peaceful but is still only a 10 minute stroll from the centre of town
