Afonso Guest House represents what makes Fontainhas so so charming! Jeanette is a lovely, warm and welcoming host, and the 200-year old building just oozes warmth, coziness and comfort. The terrace is incredible & the hospitality is too good. Highly recommend!

Shiva is a nice fellow. He was there to receive me. There are a couple of red-eared sliders (turtles) in a tub. Nice place. You get up by hearing kingfishers.

The room interiors and the cleanliness of the room was really amazing. Room is spacious, and maintained really well.
With no problem in any of the things. It was such a peaceful stay. We have a beach near the room which is hardly 2 mins in bike and 10 mins by walk. We have hotels near the beach.
Stay is near to the airport and 20 mins to Vasco da Gama railway station.
Austin is doing great work and would love to stay here the next time too.

Great guest house with a convenient location. Not the most comfortable if you live in Europe or for example like me in Dubai, but nevertheless it leaves a pleasant experience if you go on vacation. Kind and nice hosts who helped us with cab back and killing a cockroach 😀
The only moment was that two days in a row the electricity was turned off, once during a thunderstorm, and the second time I don't know why. But in general it didn't spoil my personal impression much

The stay is amazing. Very homely feeling, very neat & tidy, THE BEST location. After roaming the entire fontainhas area, we realized we are staying in the best spot of fontainhas. Really good, high rated eatery is just downstairs.
Outa Aunty, the host, is an amazing person. She made us feel like we were at home. Check-in, check-out was made hassle-free by her. We literally modified the plans to extend our stay here, the place was that cozy.
