Location was 10 mins from where I needed to go and a few minutes drive to the motorway for the next day
Travellers on a budget looking to experience a place like a local will enjoy homestays. This simple accommodation is in a private home, where the host also lives. All facilities are shared and in most cases breakfast is included.
Mary and Val were great hosts and made me feel so welcome in their lovely home. The room was spacious and comfortable with luxurious bed and pillows! No TV in the room but lovely garden and reading material to enjoy.
The light breakfast had plenty of variety, with fresh croissants, fruit and copious tea. I would highly recommend Acrewood.
