I loved my sea view room. Paula, the owner has done an excellent job of providing tea and instant coffee in the room, as well as a power strip to plug in needed items. It was clean and quiet, with access to a small refrigerator to store last night's leftovers. Paula has printed off a list of nearby places to eat, the Fisherman's Platter at Portmagee's Fisherman's Bar is worth the cost, excellent!
The Ferry Boat enjoys a location in Portmagee, a 8-minute walk from Skellig Experience Centre and 10 miles from O'Connell Memorial Church.

Good place to stay for a stop in Portmagee. The rooms are on the smaller side and don't leave any space for extra luggage or movement around the room. Public free parking is not to far.
The Smugglers Inn overlooks the sandy beach at Ballinskelligs Bay. Most rooms have sea or mountain views and the hotel has a bar, a gourmet restaurant, free WiFi in all areas and free parking.

We didn't spend a lot of time. It was more a pit stop. We only came in after dark,and left by 10-11am the next day. It was fine,no issues. Would have loved to try the restaurant but it's only open during the summer/ spring I believe. Fairly oldish building,but looks decent,and clean. The owners were kind enough to upgrade our room. Special thanks for that. Hope to visit at some point in the future again.

The view was stunning you didn’t even notice the road. The staff was very helpful and dinner was delicious. Breakfast was continental and self serve but good.

Lovely hosts, Thankyou for a great welcome, the house and gardens are wonderful. A welcoming fire in the lounge when we returned from dinner and at breakfast in the dining room next morning was perfect. The reason for our trip was to see the gardens and they are magical!! Breakfast was fantastic too. An added bonus was the additional welcome from two beautiful golden retrievers. Looking forward to a return trip!!
Lovely host, kind welcoming and lots of helpful info. Very quirky van… heated blanket so it stayed warm all night. Beautiful kitchen and breakfast items, tea coffee etc all available.
