Excellent location about 10 minutes away from Padang. After spending some time in the traffic of Padang, it is refreshing to get there and admire the ocean from the terrace. The family running the business is lovely and willing to help with anything needed. The price is very honest. 5 minutes walk from the property there's a nice bar with a restaurant.

Best hosts around - so loving, kind and helpful. I really really enjoyed my time with them and getting to know them a bit. We shared some meals and cooking together which we arranged, and I am happy to have them as friends! The staff who work in the guesthouse were kind and sweet as well.

We’ve had an amazing stay at Sumatra Ecolodge! It is obviously no luxury ( no hot water, almost no reception, no GENERATORS), but in exchange you get the pure relaxing experience in the middle of nowhere, where you can spend your time just sitting on a beach watching turtles taking a breath on the water surface. I wish we could spend a couple more days. Rakai is a great host and a person to talk to.
