Beautiful views on the lake, very nicely furnished, clean, modern, feels homey and comfy. Close to some very nice restaurants and in the heart of Tuk Tuk. Easily accessible for the boats. Nice breakfast (very good smoothie bowls!) and really great staff, who are super helpful and go above and beyond to help you out. We had some confusion over the days we had booked and they helped us out and we managed to stay the exact number of nights we needed :) thank you so much

Good host (Dong&Siska) for being so informative on suggesting where to go,where to take a ferry,they also provide bike rental.The room is nice and in front of the stay got a good cafe for me to find for breakfast,lunch or dinner..those solo traveller might like it because the cafe got live band performance twice a week and I didn't mind the noise coming for it honestly because I can still manage to sleep peacefully safe and sound due to the whole day spent moving around the island😂

I stayed at Juma Cottages by Lake Toba, and it was an unforgettable experience. The staff were all incredibly humble, welcoming, and accommodating, but Intan, the receptionist, truly stood out. She is such a warm and friendly person, always going the extra mile to ensure guests are comfortable. Intan was not only knowledgeable about the local area but also gave us excellent recommendations for things to do. One thing that really impressed me was her attention to detail—Juma Cottages doesn’t have universal charging sockets, but Intan personally went out of her way to purchase converters for guests. She lent them to us, which made our stay much more convenient. That’s the kind of service that made our time there so special. The cottages themselves are set in a stunning, scenic location, with a beautiful pool right next to Lake Toba. It’s so peaceful, with the soothing sound of birds chirping during the day. Honestly, it was hard to leave the cottage because it felt so tranquil and relaxing. The food at the cottage was delicious and reasonably priced, which was a nice bonus. As a small precaution, I’d recommend carrying mosquito repellent. While I personally didn’t experience many issues with mosquitoes during my stay, there were a few around, so it’s better to be prepared. Overall, Juma Cottages provided a truly memorable stay, and Intan’s exceptional service made it even better. Her warmth, helpfulness, and care for the guests really set the place apart. I highly recommend staying here!

Hisar and Maa were very friendly from the moment we arrived at their place. They have all the facilities to enjoy the stay in Lake Toba, very nice food, they are well located and have a good view to see the sunrise and enjoy a nice drink near the lake during the night.
