I had an amazing stay at Duyung Rooms and Resto. It’s a family-run place, and they made me feel at home right away. The family is incredibly welcoming and always ready to help, whether it’s arranging a boat for surfing, renting a scooter, or offering tips on the best spots around.
The rooms are spacious and simple – no luxuries, but everything you need for a comfortable stay. The food is delicious, and they also offer a laundry service. I initially planned to stay just a few days but ended up staying for two weeks because I loved it so much.
If you’re looking for a cozy, no-fuss place with great people and amazing food, this is it! I’ll definitely be coming back next time I’m in Gerupuk.

Beautiful, clean, spacious rooms, comfy big bed, hot water shower. The property itself is very pretty, it is easy to find and the host was kind.
Only stayed one night but if we had more time would’ve loved to stay here longer. If we find ourselves in Kuta again will definitely stay here! Great value for money.

Such a lovely family running this homestay! Karyadi is very helpful with everything, he speaks english very well (and german!). His wife cooks very good food. The room was clean and we got water, towels and soap, so everything you need. The facilities are simple, but it‘s enough. Really good value for money.
Best is the location and the view. Unfortunately the nearest beach is covered with trash which is a shame…. Nature is so beautiful but no system for supporting the locals to keep the environment clean… could be a nice project for the hotel :)
The resort is run by friendly staff but you can feel there is missing the loving attention of the owners… however there is a kind of sadness and abundant atmosphere at the hotel

It seems like this homestay is a fraud.
The address isn't specified. When I was on the phone with the "host" to fund out the address, he told us to ask people when we arrive in the village.
Of course no one knew of the place and the owner was no longer reachable. I made the trip there for nothing and was forced to book a new place. When I asked for a refund, I never heard back from him. Still haven't gotten my money back.
On arrival 12th October Akun informed us that they had rented 1 of our rooms out previous day
We cancelled our booking & Aria were 2 inform booking.com we never stayed 😔
We booked 2 more rooms in Kuta then have been trying to get our money back from booking.com
They don't want to know because Aria won't answer emails or calls to confirm we never stayed with them

The pool has an incredible sunset view and the restaurant has great food! The rooms have their own little terrace and the staff was very helpful and friendly. We got a motorcycle and shuttle service. You can get to nice beaches and things to see easily by motorcycle.
The place is owned and run by locals in a shared-ownership model amongst all staff. This is something to support for sure.
It has a private sandy backyard and the view to the bay is just spectacular. The sea water is calm, so its relaxing and peaceful. The bed room and shower room were clean and the aircon was very cold. The homestay keeper (Rizal) was kind and helpful.
