Travellers on a budget looking to experience a place like a local will enjoy homestays. This simple accommodation is in a private home, where the host also lives. All facilities are shared and in most cases breakfast is included.
Staff was super friendly and helpful. Andreas organised a scooter for me to rent. It was easy and much appreciated. Lovely Homestay is spacious with several communal areas (kitchen, rooftop, verandas, sitting room) The use of the kitchen
has been nurturing. I can highly recommend Mulia Homestay and would stay again next time I’m in Banda Aceh.
Lovely hostel with great staff, very central location. Comfy beds with everything you need as a Backpacker. I know where I'm staying when I get to Banda Aceh again :) Terima Kasih!
good hosts, provided soap and a towel, helped with a broken phone, overall good environment, large rooms, large beds, a room with a large window (which is rare in Indonesia)
Perfect Homestay. The best I've ever had in Indonesia. Not noisy at night, because far away from big roads, and lokal small ones noone drives at night. I had very good sleep. And this very important because noise = Indonesia and here was really big exception.
A lot of space in the house. Kitchen is very good too.. You can cook if you like. I felt really like at home.
The owner Andreas helped with many good spots to eat and drink in walking distance from Mulia Homestay, and offered the essentials to do the breakfast in the kitchen, also with a good and unique coffee from Banda Aceh. The area is nice, away from the traffic of the big roads, and Andreas helped also with organizing transportation.
Very clean and lovely Homestay! The owner is amazing, he helped us a lot and he was incredibly welcoming. The room is very clean and the house in general is spacious. Free breakfast and free laundry :)
The staff was really helpful, also with letting us know our transport was waiting and tips for ATMs that work for European cards.
The location is really nice!
The beds are very comfortable.
We read some stuff online about not being able to sleep in the same room with your partner if you're not married, but that only applies to locals, not to tourists :)
