Staying at Posada Vicentas was an absolute delight. To start, the location of the house was in a safe and secure area, close to the center of town but enough outside of it that it is quiet and peaceful at night. The family is absolutely lovely. They are so warm and welcoming. Chema, the host, has a wealth of knowledge on the area and provides extra activities that are well worth it. While staying with the family, I opted in for breakfast and dinner, both of which were fresh and filling. I got to sit and join the family which was great fun learning about everyone and practicing my Spanglish. I was able to take a sunrise trip up to the Indian Nose with Chema and his father...and the view was absolutely amazing and should not be missed! I will (hopefully) be returning to San Juan la Laguna soon, as it is such a beautiful place, and I will without a doubt be staying at Posada Vicentas. Highly recommend this stay!

Juana the host was very kind and wanted to make sure everything went well. Delicious breakfasts! The room was beautiful, with a mosquito net on the bed. Separate rooms for bath and shower. Large walk in closet.

The house is super beautiful, clean and well decorated, with an amazing view. Kitchen well equipped, great bed, towels and linens. The WiFi is good, and the check in was easy. The staff was helpful to quickly solve a problem we had with plug adaptors.

They have a small restaurant/kitchen downstairs, and the friendly ladies there will cook you up a nice pasta (or something else) for a fair price. The one redeeming quality about this property for me was the friendliness of the staff. Also, the location is in the city and up a hill. Multiple supermarkets, restaurants, tiendas, and more are very nearby. They gave me a room with 3 beds in it even though I was the only one there, so my room was quite big.

Amigos is a great hostel with great value for money in the best location in San Pedro. The staff was very welcoming and helpful when I checked in. The dorm was clean and the beds nice and comfy. They also had a warm shower, which is the first I found in a hostel in Central america!!! Such a plus! The kitchen area on the rooftop is so nice, has an amzing view and is a great place to watch the sunrise or cook a delicious meal.
Very comfortable and clean. The restaurant upstairs was delicious and run by locals, price slightly on the higher side but worth it and convenient. The owner was very accommodating and generous to us, helping us out when we had to cut our trip short. Unreal shared kitchen and a pool table/day beds upstairs to enjoy.
This is a lovely family-run hostel/homestay! Julio and Velma are great hosts and the breakfast was amazing and different each day of my stay. I had to work during my stay and they were so accommodating and the wifi is perfect for video calls! Julio also organises tours and gives great recommendations for travel in the area! Bonus of two friendly cats! Can’t recommend this place enough!
I chose Casa Llemo as I was looking for a homestay experience with a local Guatemalan family over the Xmas period. Staying with Julio and his wife and kids and cats fulfilled this and as a guest I was fully included in all the family Christmas activities which was awesome. The place is the family home but I had my own room and bathroom which were simple and functional. The daily included cooked breakfast is the best you will find. The owners go out of their way to make you feel welcome, comfortable and included in the family which is awesome.
