Lovely hosts, clean accommodation, fluffy towels. Quiet area with a lovely view. Dark Sky area, & if it isn't it should be. Incredible starry night! It was our wedding anniversary while there. When we got back, Doug & Tracy had helped to mark it with a little gift of home made cakes. Very thoughtful & much appreciated.

The location was perfect: five minutes walk to a superb pub and local amenities. Just a ten minute walk to the beach. We loved the hot tub- very straightforward to use with handy video to watch. The lodge was very comfortable and private with a lovely terrace to use. The locals were very friendly.

It was very clean and had everything you needed, it was secluded in the garden and set in beautiful surroundings. It was very quiet as well. Jenny was a very good host and I had a lovely conversation with her.

Meeting Henry the Tibetan Terrier is worth 5 stars anyhow! But seriously ...Douglas and Tracy were great hosts and made our stay comfortable and seamless. Breakfast is DIY but at the price asked there's no reason to complain.... a very comfortable 3 room attic apartment with separate sitting and TV room ... automated heating runs on a motion sensor so you're kept warm. All fine...thank you for a pleasant stay !

The whole atmosphere of the hotel was welcoming. It was clearly the beating heart of the village and valued locals and visitors equally well. The full Cornish breakfast was brilliant. A limited evening menu but delicious and interesting specials every day.
