…i stayed just the one night…everything was perfect…and such a welcoming host…a lovely lady…nicely kept house..breakfast was great…and evening meals are also offered…although I didn't have one…i have no doubt they’d be superb….all in all….can highly recommend this accommodation.

Marie was a super host providing updates and all the information needed for a great stay. The goodies on arrival for breakfast as well as coffee pods and teas of all kinds.
The bed was very comfortable as was the sofa. I would highly recommend a stay if you are visiting the area as I will definitely do so again.

Travellers on a budget looking to experience a place like a local will enjoy homestays. This simple accommodation is in a private home, where the host also lives. All facilities are shared and in most cases breakfast is included.
The pub is located alongside a canal, great to sit and have a drink in the large garden or walking the dog along the canal. The food we had was very good quality and the desert was to die for, The room was clean and tidy and plenty of parking close to the room. The hosts were fantastic and couldn't do enough for their guests, a really good atmosphere in the bar, talking to the locals and the dogs are allowed anywhere in the pub, would definitely return.
Hillcrest was perfect for us - especially being just up the road from our friends in Retford. There are gorgeous views from the cottage, and the garden was perfect for our dog to run around and let off steam in. Mindful of the locals (aka sheep), we loved the long walks following the bridleways starting just over the road. The cottage itself is comfortable and warm. Nicola, just next door, was the perfect host and made us feel very welcome.
I only stayed one night, lovely place, nice beer, staff extremely helpful & friend as were the locals.. quality live music… beautifully clean.. highly recommended
Felt really welcome soon as i arrived very friendly and a good atmosphere had a few drinks at the bar with the locals really nice people will definitely be visiting again 😊
