For a Midwinter break with ice on the ground in the picturesque Port Sunlight Village, James’s cottage was the perfect warm cosy nest to retreat to… a deep bath to relax in, a great kitchen to heat up a meal and a lovely lounge to relax in. It really was a treat. Just a short walk down the road from the station James’s home provides all the amenities you would wish for. His information message told us everything we needed to know about the heating, WiFi and checking in which was all really straightforward. Truly a lovely stay. Thank you James.

We were met with a genuine warm welcome from June, the owner of Gateway Lodge. She was most helpful after offering us a ground floor room after I mentioned I and my husband have disabilities which would be difficult for us carrying our cases upstairs.
She catered to our every need and went the extra mile by offering a ground floor room for us. Thank you June, we look forward to staying again in 2 weeks after our holiday before going home the next day. We recommend staying here for a stress-free night before flying from the airport.

The location was almost next to a bus stop and the house was easy to find. The host was nice and welcoming. A comfy bed, a clean room, a kitchen and a wi-fi connection - everything for a backpacker's needs! Being right next to Penny Lane, the location is perfect for Beatles tourists as well.
