Clune House B&B, hotel in Newtonmore

Located in Newtonmore and only 500 metres from Newtonmore Golf Club, Clune House B&B provides accommodation with mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking.

The host was welcoming and friendly. The room was beautifully furnished with lots of extras. Coffee machine, tea making facilities, various teas, chocolate biscuits, and teacake. Chocolates and homemade tablet, delicious. Fridge in room with water, cans of juice, fresh milk & crisps. Breakfast was excellent. There was a variety of cereals, fruit juices, yoghurts, fresh fruit, croissants, and pastries. Cooked breakfast of smoked salmon and scrambled egg was perfect. There were lots of other choices of hot breakfast. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, wished we had been staying longer.

Sutherlands Guest House, hotel in Newtonmore

Sutherlands Guest House is located in Kingussie in the heart of the Cairngorms National Park. It offers luxury rooms and a garden.

Ruby and Raymond are exceptionally welcoming and attentive hosts. Our room was spacious, with an extra-large bed, and the ensuite bathroom was generously sized as well. Everything was immaculately clean. A kettle with tea, coffee and tasty cookies was provided and replenished daily, including fresh milk in a glass bottle in the fridge—so much better than the tiny plastic containers common in other hotels. We were treated to a wee bottle of Speyside single-malt whisky at the start of our stay. Raymond prepares fantastic breakfasts; don't miss the homemade jam and marmalade—they're the best I've ever tasted! We will definitely be returning.

Siskin Guest Suite, hotel in Newtonmore

Boasting garden views, Siskin Guest Suite features accommodation with a garden and a patio, around 10 km from Highland Wildlife Park.

It was the cosiest, most comfortable little home away from home. It had everything I needed. Nature right outside, the quiet of a wee hideaway & access to all the activities Aviemore can offer. The suite has been finished to the highest standards and the hosts are great too. Perfect, peaceful getaway.

At first we were disappointed, but we had 4 nights and in the end we really appreciated everything. The owner was super nice, a beer in the pub in the evening with some locals was always a nice end to the day. We even discovered beautiful hiking tours that you could do directly from there. Breakfast at the nearby Trucker Grill was an nice experience and there is an excellent restaurant nearby.

Loved that the hotel had a pool. The room was spacious and you could sit and read a book/have a drink in your room. The bar areas were great and the locals were friendly & welcoming. The staff were all lovely and the meals were spot on. There’s parking across the road and lots of nice walks locally.
