The small cottage was absolutely delightful - it was very cozy and homey, and had the essentials in the kitchenette for a quick coffee and tea before we headed back out. Check in and out was very easy, and the location was a perfect starting point for our road trip through the south of England. Dog-friendly, with a small part of the garden, clean - can highly recommend.

Excellent location with easy access to restaurants and the port. Excellent welcome from staff. I had the smallest room, with a private bathroom a few steps away. It met my needs perfectly

Usually I don’t post comments after I stay at a guest house/hotel/hostel, but for this one I just have to.
As Asian, when I’m in the UK, one thing that I feel a lot from the locals is that before they see me as a person, they see me as a foreigner. I could tell that they do not see me as “one of them”.
John never made me feel that why. He is a genuine person with a truly kind heart and whenever he sees me, he’s just happy to see me. He would chat about all sorts of things with me and it feels really nice to have a person to talk to as a solo traveler. Even though I’m quite young (literally just turned 20), John was never like “oh she’s quite young we probably don’t have any common language”.
Other than John being nice, the guest house itself is really nice too. The room is very clean, very comfortable, and very very pretty.
Also if you accidentally forget something in the guest house after you check out you can absolutely trust John for keeping it for you.
Also, the house is only 16 minutes away from Dover Priory (the train station), very convenient!

The chalet was fabulous, lots of little touches to make it a real home from home stay. We visited with 4 children aged between 2 and 9 and all loved it for different reasons...which made it easier for us to enjoy a glass of wine on the decking too!
Very warm welcome to a beautiful home. Very pretty village with a lovely walk down to the beach and pub. Pleasant beachside stroll along the seafront to Walmer and Deal. Nice bars and restaurants in Deal and on our return the lovely host was very friendly and we slept very well in the peaceful room and comfortable bed.
We were made to feel very much at home and highly recommend.
Thanks very much. Looking forward to our return.
