The building was wonderful, it's facade is very impressive and inside it's beautifully decorated. As an historic building it has been sympathetically renovated and benefits from 21st century amenities without detracting from its special charm.
Can and Malcolm were very kind and friendly and greatly enhanced our experience. They were always pleasant and helpful to us. Their input and the natural ambience of the hotel was very warm and for us it was so very relaxing.
The area is lovely and feels like a village with charming cottages and larger Georgian buildings and a lovely old railway station by the local pub.
Our room was wonderful with a king sized bed and a small settee looking out onto the extensive gardens and the river Eske. The shower room was small but nicely arranged and easy to use. The shower was cleverly fitted into a niche and the shower equipment was good quality and easy to use.
We had lovely large cotton towels, lashings of hot water and complimentary soaps. We were always warm and comfortable.
The breakfast was amazing. Full English was a delight, made with skill and care using quality foods, it was delicious. There was an extensive buffett which was comprehensive and likewise delicious.
In short it was great value, the venue is incredible and the hosts were really nice. It was perfect and far above what we could have anticipated.

It was lovely and cosy. We will definitely be booking again and my parents who popped in said they will be too. Bonus for it being next to our favourite restaurant.

The breakfast was superb, the staff very welcoming and pleasant, the room was more than adequate. Much better than a large soulless hotel. The Crown (2 minutes walk away) was excellent for dinner, serving hearty pub food, and the village itself is beautiful.
Haven Crest provides rooms in Whitby near Whitby Beach and Sandsend Beach. This guest house offers free private parking, daily room service, and free Wifi.

First off Haven Crest was the 4th B&B we have stayed in at Whitby but it is by far the BEST. Breakfasts were good but what really stood out was the cleanliness of the whole establishment. If you could find any traces of dirt or dust then I would be very surprised. It was spotless. Also to have 4,yes 4 cabinets with 16 drawers in total PLUS a big double doored wardrobe for all our clothes was unbelievable. Not cheap stuff but very good quality.
We will definately be back next year

Great location
Travelers on a budget looking to experience a place like a local will enjoy homestays. These simple accommodations are in a private home, where the host also lives. All facilities are shared and in most cases breakfast is included.

Breakfast was superb, great choice. Lovely en-suite room with super king size bed. Very clean tidy and comfy. Angie and Rick were great hosts and very welcoming.
Lovely B&B. Gill & Dave are lovely hosts, made to feel welcome as soon as you arrive. Room very clean. Breakfast was delicious. Lovely little village, lots of Heartbeat landmarks to see. Great walk to the waterfall but you definitely need decent footwear!
