North East Viewpoint, hotel in Gateshead

Offering a garden and city view, North East Viewpoint is set in Holystone, 13 km from Theatre Royal and 13 km from St James' Park.

Don’t let the pictures or descriptions fool you like they did me. It’s not a hotel nor does it have views. It’s literally some blokes house in the middle of a housing estate. I’m sure the homeowner is pleasant and if you’re wanting to stay at somebody’s house then this may be suitable. I did not stay as I was under the impression that it was a hotel and ended up having to rebook an actual hotel.

It was unusual, the accommodation was in the motel style, the bar & restaurant were in the Italian style, very rustic, beautifully decorated and the food was fabulous, very extensive menu. It seemed very popular with the locals too.

Loved the room, it was more like a little private home for the night. Far exceeded what I would expect for the price we paid. Thank you so much
