The location is very good as a car owner the places to visit were very accessible. The house is really lovely with many nice touches and Pauline is a very friendly helpful lady but doesn't impose on your stay. Pauline allows you to have your breakfast at any time and to help yourself to whatever there is available in the kitchen, which is always a great deal and varied. Our room was very pretty and comfortable overlooking the back garden and field beyond (incidentally called the Garden Room) but we shared a bathroom which was not a problem for us (i am not sure whether any of Pauline's other rooms have en suite facilities for which you would need to check. It is also very close to Teeside Airport but we were never bothered by that or any noise.

Excellent breakfast was supplied albeit cooked yourself…but I had no issue with that. What was available was very fresh and in good quantity. Great idea!

Travelers on a budget looking to experience a place like a local will enjoy homestays. These simple accommodations are in a private home, where the host also lives. All facilities are shared and in most cases breakfast is included.
Lovely house, made to feel at home, helped ourselves to breakfast and had breakfast with other guests. We stayed in garden room Lovely view over the fields.Nice pub/restaurant round the corner.

Everything, it was in a good location close to town centre. Parking was ok there is some permit parking but also for non locals. The house itself was suberb, seemed recently decorated and was spotless. Rooms were all good sizes upstairs and downstairs. Kitchen was well equipped for cooking. Beds were comfy. Nice space in back courtyard for sitting out. There's a large garage for parking. Contact with the host was good too.
Loved all of it. Clean..tidy..quiet. use of a lounge. Garden to sit outside..well equipped kitchen to prepare your own food. On bus route..local shops.. most of all lovely HOST she made you feel welcome. If I was in the area again I would stay here again.
A well run pub/restaurant where everyone is welcomed wether passing through or locals. The service was first class with good food. The room and the whole place was spotless.
Amazing quality and value in the restaurant. It was very busy. mainly with locals, which of itself speaks volumes. Fantastic (and reasonable) evening meal, with superb freshly cooked and hot breakfast.
Clean and comfortable with modern fixtures and fittings...Ensuite shower room was perfect for my needs...Strong WiFi, Freeview TV, Window with City View and Quiet Bar full of locals downstairs all kept me entertained...
Safe motorcycle parking provided free of charge.
Perfect stop over accomodation, will definitely stay again on the return trip
